I used to pass the shop before lockdown and always stocked up when nearby. Having discovered that Dales deliver I am now purchasing meat online. Yesterday's parcel arrived fresh delivered by a cheerful, courteous, conscientious courier. The meat is wonderful and last night's steak dinner was greatly appreciated. The Pork pies have now become a great favourite. Lovely to see a local, family-run business where the Team takes a pride in what they do- thank you, Dales.

A great traditional butchers with a large selection of meats, pies and so much more. There are also a great selection of deli style relishes and accompaniments and every corner has more delicious food on offer. We bought the pork and Mr Tikki chilli jam pie and a steak pie and both were excellent.

We've been Dales customers for a long time, first calling in when on holiday then, after moving to Sedbergh (a few miles North of the shop) then moved further North by a further 60 miles.
Dales deliver! Guaranteed great produce every time. The meats are fresh, cut to order and properly sourced and WOW, you can certainly taste the difference. Delivery is free when orders are £75+, normally take a few days but they really are worth waiting for. Beautifully packed and labelled and sent with ice packed so the contents stay cold enough to freeze if needed or cooked immediately or, depending on the 'use by' dates, kept in the fridge and cooked later.
On the other hand, just visit the shop and see what you're buying, I guarantee, you'll not be disappointed.

We have been using Dales for almost twenty years; whenever in the area. Ic and Flic love their thin pork sausages and hold " sausage cook offs" once we have sausages from six different butchers. Dales are regular winners and thus our benchmark. (Huddlestons in Windermere and Watson's Farm Shop in Hope are also regular contenders.) Had lots of meat from here, including Christmas joints and chickens. Lots of local pubs etc. use them.

Visiting KL bought some lovely back bacon and pork and black pudding sausage for my husband's breakfast, really recommended. Unfortunately wasn't as impressed with the steak pies. Thick reasonably seasoned pastry but light on the filling, only 2 bits of steak in each small pie and little gravy. Didn't blow us away as expected from previous reviews. Really friendly staff tho, and everything packaged beautifully. Will definitely come back.

Bought an absolute gem of a cut, leg of lamb. Made a roast, the meat was delicious. Honestly to support a local butcher instead of a big box is a privilege, and worth a few extra pounds.

We came in today just as you were putting things away, we asked if you were still open as it was only 12 30 , we're not local so didn't know you closed early. You were very helpful and asked us what we would like, 4 sirloin steaks and dozens eggs. We cooked the steaks that evening and all four of us said how good they were, they did not disappoint. Thank you and I hope to shop there again soon.
