We come here quite regularly, can't believe I haven't left a review sooner! Firstly the team are all brilliant - great with kids and super friendly. Never had a bad experience with any of them.

The ice cream is amazing - by far some of the best we've had and such a huge variety of flavours that are always changing (but the classics remain).

Highly recommend the waffles - I usually go for their special because some of the creations they put together are brilliant. Only recently started having these, wish I had sooner!

What better way to wash a waffle down than with a milkshake or coffee? The coffee is great, lovely rich taste and very nice. Milkshakes are super fresh and available from the vending machine or the counter - we've got a couple of the reusable bottles and often fill them up. Love this place!

Had to redo this as left my other review on my business account - apologies!

One of our favourite places!
We come usually at least once a week (more if there’s blueberry muffin or pistachio milkshake on!) & it’s always a lovely, wholesome hour or two spent.
Gorgeous ice cream with an amazing variety of flavours, the waffles are a delicious treat and always served with a smile.
We come rain or shine & will continue to do so. The indoor seating is comfortable with a small selection of little toys to entertain small ones and outside there’s a sandpit with spaces etc. Our two (11 month old & 8 year old) love looking at the goats and ducks and chicks and leave happy, especially when the tractor is there to explore!
Would highly recommend a visit to everybody!

Lovely little hidden, out of the way, ice cream parlour and tea room. The ice cream here is some of the best I've had in York....and I've had a LOT! Both the apple crumble and pistachio ice creams we had were delicious. We'll be back to try more!

Ice cream wise I had Choc brownie and twister, gf had twister and pomegranate,2 scoops with bottom of cone 'filler' of fudge in mine and bubblegum in gfs, Absolutely delicious! Coming back here asap! ❤️

Curlew Fields Dairies is one of the best place around for Ice creams and milkshakes. They also serve delicious coffee and cakes within their coffee shop. With a wide variety of choice when it comes to ice creams you will struggle to find any flavour that isn’t delicious.
The ice creams all taste lovely and fresh and they have different flavours each time. The staff are always really friendly. They also have ice creams for dogs.
When it comes to the milkshakes, I would recommend them to anyone. They are all made with fresh whole milk quick and efficiently from the milkshake vending machine. You can get a 500ml milkshake for £1.30 and a litre milkshake for £2. With milk from 70p for 500ml. Unbeatable price for a fresh product.
To top it off they also do open farm days where you can explore the farm, with tractors and milk lorries for the children to get on board as well as being able to get up close to the cows, lambs and horse.

What a great farm and cafe. Great milkshakes, smooth ice-cream and tasty coffee and cakes. All to eat in or take away. There is plenty for kids to do too. My 3 year old loves playing with the toys available in the cafe area, there is a sand pit plus the chicks, goose and goats to see. Today we had a special treat seeing the cows coming in from the field to the sheds, just happened to be there at the right time. I really recommend the banana ice cream.

Clearly a fairly new enterprise, car park still a bit rough but persevere , the unit is on a working farm so things going on all around.
I chose waffle Special which was lovely.
Weather was good so sat outside.
Generally a positive visit.

Absolutely love this little spot! Reading the below review, I do have to say I find it very odd that customers deem it acceptable to bring their own drinks (or expect to consume this drink on site as oppose to purchasing one on site, from a small business!) it’s like going to the supermarket, picking up a bottle of coke from the chiller, drinking it on your big shop and then leaving the empty bottle in the trolley unpaid for. As a hospitality manager this is the first time I ever even heard of this, it’s not a thing!!

Keep up the good work Curlew Dairy Farm! Me and my family love coming for a treat.
