We played Crowwood Golf Club. Unfortunately, once we came off the course the bar was closed, so we came into the hotel to have a quick drink.
We were very surprised at how busy the restaurant was and the smell of the food was outstanding. The waiters were non-stop, which meant the service was first class. Wish we had stayed for some food. Will do next time we play the course.

I have left 1 as I couldn’t leave a minus. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The room had a double bed and a board that I assume was meant to be a single bed. It had a wooden beam down the centre which made it impossible to sleep on, I asked the girl at reception for a proper single bed or thick mattress to be put in the room but was told it was not possible and kept asking me if I wanted the double bed removed and 2 singles put in which clearly I didn’t. At breakfast there was no one there and I had to go through to the kitchen to find someone, there was no menu so had no idea what the options were. The toaster had an extension cable running across the top of it so I was reduced to only being able to use half of it or run the risk of fire. While eating breakfast that was shocking, there were members of staff walking around on mobile phones with hoodies and walking past with plates of samosas. I had originally booked in for 3 nights but due to the lack of customer service we decided to leave a day early. I checked out and confirmed that I wouldn’t be charged for the extra night and was told by the receptionist that I 100% would not be charged. I checked my bank and found that they did charge me for the night we didn’t stay. I spent 2 weeks trying to speak to the manager and was told they were in after 1200 then got told they were in after 1700 then they were ill only to be continually told that they do not give refunds. Absolutely disgusting behaviour that cost me £150. I would avoid this place at ALL COSTS and instead sleep in your car or in a park both of which would be better than this hotel.

Normally we stay at The Garfield or the Premier Inn while visiting family locally but there was no availability so we tried The Crow wood , it will not be repeated.|Tried to book direct but receptionist said to use booking .com as it was cheaper and easier! She couldn’t work out what 2 rooms for 3 nights cost !|Corridor to rooms smelt musty.|Our daughter’s room was nice but our carpet was very grubby.|Nice room size and bathroom although no shelves in shower to put soap etc .|Good bed linen .|Receptionist did not book us in for breakfast despite being told repeatedly that we wanted breakfast and admitting she remembered us saying we wanted it, and then on Saturday morning we were told that it was unavailable because we hadn’t booked it!|We were visiting my elderly mum and returned to the hotel at 21.50 on Sunday evening to find outside door locked, when the gentleman unlocked the door his greeting was “ you’re late”! |In short ,this hotel has a price far exceeding its worth and they need to train their staff if they wish to succeed in the hospitality business. |I strongly recommend that you book the Premier Inn or The Garfield, |We visit regularly but will not be returning to this hotel.

Avoid this place at all costs, unhelpful staff and disgusting management that are more interested in taking your money than solving issues with customers. It says on the website free breakfast, however I was charged separately for breakfast I was also charged £150 for a night I didn’t stay and was refused a refund even though I had no choice but to leave early due to the unhelpful staff members who refused to make my stay comfortable. View from bedroom was of the overflowing rubbish skips and staff outside smoking. By far the worst place I have ever stayed.

The hotel staff are very friendly and the rooms are fine. The adjoining bar / restaurant is really weird. It's not a bar. You can't order a drink at the bar. Instead you've to order and pay for everything at a maitre d station. The Indian styled menu is good though.
