After reading the positive reviews online, we decided to visit this farm. Following a pleasant drive of over an hour, we arrived at the farm. Our first impression was very positive; the spacious and well-maintained grounds created a peaceful atmosphere.
As mentioned frequently in the reviews, the ice creams at the farm were truly fantastic. We had a hard time choosing from the wide variety of flavors, but each one we tried was delicious. The small playground for children was a big plus for families. While the kids played safely, we were able to relax and enjoy our time.
The farm also offers the opportunity to pick your own fruits and vegetables. I picked sweet corn, and its freshness and taste were simply amazing. This experience is both enjoyable and educational for those who love being close to nature.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our visit to the farm and are definitely considering going back. It’s a great escape for both children and adults. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled, and delicious day out, I highly recommend visiting this farm.

Thanks,
Adem

Came here for a half term Halloween event, and boy am I so glad I did! It was done in the wizard of Oz theme, they had amazing actors who fit their parts and roles so perfectly!
All the staff were definitely amazing in what they did, even the security, the security guard was up for a good laugh too!

Pumpkin picking, Halloween costume competition, food, drinks, clean lavatories, a fun maze and a fun fair!

The music they used for the event was absolutely amazing too, not songs used often but I know my music very well and I loved that they played music that isn't heard on the radio, music that isn't very well known but sounds sooo good!

There were mini games for the kids to do, like as if it was a fair but you help yourself, no added cost to do them!!!!

Carve your Pumpkin there too, so no mess at home!

I wish this was an every weekend event, I'd be there every weekend!

I'll see you next year for Halloween but I'll also be back in the summer for fruit picking with the kids!

Thank you so much, you really do know how to make an event a proper good one!

When we got there, there was a brilliant story line put onto the tannoy to get you into the spirit of it, the actors asked us to click our feet like Dorothy - 34 and still can't haha! But I put in the effort and tried because it was so well done, the announcement did go on for like 20 mins but that's only because they wanted to make sure the early arrives weren't bored while we waited for the gates to open and more people to get their wrist bands, so I completely understand, kept us entertained anyway!

The food stalls were divine, smelt incredible too!

The amount of thought, effort and time put into this event was definitely shown through in everyday and I absolutely CANNOT fault a thing! I think, it was the best day out I've ever had with my family!

You should be so proud of your achievements, and also, you should be doing many many many more events, seasonal ones!

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Crockford Bridge Farm’s Pumpkin Patch, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for our family and friends, especially for the little ones. Despite the rain that day, or perhaps because of it, the visit was an absolute joy—our toddlers relished the opportunity to explore the muddy, puddly grounds, making it a wonderfully authentic and immersive day out.

A Great Day for Toddlers: Muddle Puddles and More

For families with young children, particularly those who are currently enchanted by Peppa Pig, this experience hits the mark. The rain may have turned the farm into a bit of a mud fest, but this only added to the excitement for the kids, who happily jumped in muddy puddles just like their favorite cartoon character. It was a heartwarming sight to see their little boots splashing around, their laughter cutting through the chilly air. Instead of dampening our spirits, the mud added an extra element of fun and adventure that our toddlers thoroughly enjoyed.

Pumpkin Picking and Wheelbarrow Rides: A Hands-On Experience

The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the pumpkin picking. Crockford Bridge Farm offers a wonderful selection of pumpkins in various sizes, shapes, and colors. Whether you’re on the hunt for a perfect carving pumpkin or a smaller one for decoration, there’s plenty to choose from. The kids had a blast picking their favorites, and for them, the real fun began when it was time to load their pumpkins into the wheelbarrows. It’s a great hands-on activity for young children to get involved in, and the wheelbarrow rides were an added delight as the toddlers giggled while being pushed around.

Family-Friendly Facilities and Amenities

Crockford Bridge Farm does an excellent job of catering to families with young children. The staff are friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming environment that’s perfect for families. They even had various autumn-themed displays that were perfect for photo opportunities. We appreciated the little touches like hand-washing stations and clearly marked areas for different activities, making it easy for parents to navigate with young children in tow.

There are plenty of picnic tables and covered areas, which came in handy as a place to rest and take cover from the rain while enjoying some snacks. Although the cafĂŠ was quite busy (understandably so on a rainy day), it offered a nice selection of hot drinks and treats to warm up with. We would recommend bringing a picnic blanket or extra layers just in case you want to take a break outdoors.

A Bit Muddy but Manageable

While the mud added to the fun for our little ones, it’s worth noting that it can get quite slippery in some areas. We recommend wearing wellies or waterproof shoes, and perhaps bringing a change of clothes for the kids just in case. The farm does an admirable job of maintaining pathways, but it’s still an outdoor, working farm—so a little mud is part of the charm!

Tips for Visiting

1. Dress for the Weather: This is an outdoor experience, so prepare for rain or shine. If it’s been raining recently, waterproof boots and jackets are a must.
2. Timing: If you want to avoid the crowds, consider visiting earlier in the day. However, even during busier times, the farm is spacious enough to accommodate everyone.
3. Snacks and Drinks: Bring along some snacks, especially if you have young children who might get hungry while exploring. There is a cafĂŠ on-site, but it can get busy.

Crockford Bridge Farm’s Pumpkin Patch is a fantastic family day out that offers more than just pumpkin picking. It provides a full experience that children will talk about for weeks afterward. The muddy, puddly fun added an authentic touch to the visit and gave the kids an opportunity to explore and play freely. It’s a perfect autumnal outing for families, especially for those with toddlers who are keen on getting outside and enjoying some hands-on farm fun. We’ll definitely be coming back next year—hopefully with more friends and a few more toddlers in tow!

We went last weekend (end of July 2024) and as advertised on the website some of the fruits and veg were almost gone or not ready, but we still had a lot of fun picking and we liked that this PYO was not as busy as the other ones. The owner/staff was friendly and attentive. There is a play area for children visitors and a cute shop selling gelato. Can't wait to be back!

Went on a weekday pumpkin picking. Was lovely! So friendly and welcoming, beautiful selection of sizes and colours of pumpkin and squashes! Most of the pumpkins had beautiful stems on them from where they were cut long and have all curled over. We’ve come away with a very large lovely shaped pumpkin! Super friendly staff, we stopped for and ice cream and a drink when we had finished. Perfect for the little ones with a little play area and a massive tree swing even I had to have a go! Had a wonderful trip out will definitely come again!

Drove 90 minutes to get there and paid nearly £30 to pickup some sad looking loose pumpkins off the floor. They weren’t even stemmed to the ground and were just kind of dumped at the front.
Don’t waste your time and pick some up from Tesco for a fiver

I have been a loyal customer for years with this farm when it came to buying a real Christmas tree. I kindly asked for a replacement since I am not happy with the tree. I live down the road and they could have easily helped me get a replacement. The manager dismissed me completely saying it isn’t faulty. I said this is not something you buy off the shelf, people buy trees to be happy with them. He said it is not faulty as if it is a machine you buy. He doesn’t see the difference as he will never understand customer satisfaction. I will never ever buy tree or anything else from them and will share this experience with friends and all other social media platforms!
