I stopped in today and ordered a few pastries. Wonderful unique selection of pastries. I had a tomato mozzarella croissant, a s’mores croissant, and a raspberry oat bar. The tomato mozzarella pastry seemed raw, it tasted and had the texture of underbaked dough. On a positive note, the tomatoes were very fresh. The s’mores croissant was a little better - it was fully baked, but still had a strange doughy flavor. It did not have any butteriness. The raspberry oat bar similarly did not have a buttery flavor. It was not bad, but it was bland and dry. The pastries were around 7$ each so they were a bit expensive.

The service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance was very nice inside. I would like to try this out again, I think I may have came by at the wrong time of day, since it was late morning.

Very cute and cool Cafe in Alpine. Small operation that sells coffee, donuts, croissants, bagels, and even some unique bread. Super friendly staff and the food + coffee makes this place a nice change of pace from your typical hipsterbucks. Give this place a try!

I ordered the cookie croissant, it was pretty good. I also got the mexican hot chocolate and it was good, I have not tried it before so I cannot judge how good it is compared to other ones. She is really nice and welcoming, and the place is quiet and just nice to spend some time at. Its only downside was that the prices on the menu in the store are different than what I was charged. Overall, a good experience for me and I would stop by again if I was driving by.

I’ve been coming here for a while now. Once a month or so I pick up croissants to bring home for everyone for breakfast and the last 3 times they’ve been SO BAD! I mean the croissants from Albertsons would have been better. Stale, chewy, hard, everything you don’t want in a croissant. It’s embarrassing brining these home and nobody enjoys them. I used to love coming here and hope you guys can improve.

That quiche is a must try!! Great pastry and cheese combo! If you are lactose intolerant, better take that lactaid pill before going.

Such a good bakery. Their bread is really good, fresh and tasty. Their pasties are out of this world. They are big too. You must stop by and have some. I am sure you will never had a pretzel like theirs. Soo yummy.

They are very dog friendly, always give treats to my puppy. And the owner Heather is super friendly.

I like the fast service and friendliness. But, a surprise came when the single chocolate tart was almost $16. It’s more than a price of the famous “Extraordinary Desserts” dessert in downtown SD. Normally in bakery show case, price tags are displayed, so a warning for you to ask before you pick.

Some of the prices are remarkably high for what you are getting. Stuff is either on par or pricier than a place like Dudley's, but it's nowhere near as good. The drinks were hit or miss, and the quiche was decent (but definitely not worth $14 jfc), but the bread was decidedly bad. My dad's pandemic-era bread was better than this. You expect better quality baked goods at bakeries (especially when they are so expensive and are rated so high), but there was no skill in their goods, and honestly, it's kind of a waste of the high quality, organic ingredients that they claim to use.
