Its been twice now that my husband has bought meat from the butcher area and it is off and smelly the very next day. I recommend the Pioneer next door - it is cheaper and the meat has never been spoiled.

Cranston is a good name for the food in Carlisle it has everything you want I like going there for fresh meat I buy it for a month and freeze it it tastes better after it's been frozen for a month this vegetables chickens hot meals you can buy the an all the game birds you can buy my favorite shop the staff are very good I am regular there Lovegood food thank you when you're come to Carlisle you can buy one meals and take out it's next to Carlisle Cathedral plenty of benches to sit on I hope this information helps you

Excellent butcher and deli, with a great range of pie's, pasties and other savouries. Good Cumberland sausage and they sell good value large packs. Sells some nice preserves and sweet things. Nice clean shop.

Great food, lovely ready to eat stuff from the hot counter, lot's of fantastic fresh produce and regular new products from local companies. Staff are always lovely too

Good quality food but can be pricie. Check out staff could have a little more patience with the older customers a smile and a helping hand if they want there queue to go down quicker employ more staff.
