We shop here regularly, and haven't experienced anything other than a warm welcome from Michael and the Team. The food is excellent quality, the service friendly, and always with a smile. My experience of Cook Hove could not be more different to the odd negative review left here. I always look forward to visiting, particularly when there's a sample of something new and yummy to try. And the mince pies at Christmas are delicious!

Chloe… If only you knew how lovely a hug from someone with “an Irish accent” could be.... The generous, warm hearted gentleman you appear to be referring to is called Michael. We jovially think of him as “St. Michael” because in all the years we’ve enjoyed regularly shopping at the Cook shop Hove, seeing him there is often the highlight of our day, and we’ve only ever had friendly, welcoming (and efficient) shopping experiences.
If he was grappling with technical hitches at that moment, I’d imagine it would have been something necessary to keep the ‘show on the road’ for all his loving customers, even you…

We have been customers of Cook Hove for a good while. We have bought Cook Christmas dinners for five years now which are excellent and give much more time to spend with friends and family rather than work in the kitchen. When we're lazy, presseed for time or want a favourite dish we shop at Cook. Thestandard of food is better than any competitor in our opinion, and the range and choice is enormous.
Michael and his team are unfailingly helpful, freindly and welcoming and it is always a pleasure to go to the store, a bit like visiting friends. We can't recommend the food and service highly enough.

Meals on wheels…with a difference!

I absolutely love the meals that cook have available, quick and easy, delicious and no nasties. Healthy, easy preparation and fast.

As a busy mum rushing around it’s nice to have to not worry about preparing a meal everyday, especially those late nights after kids club!

Each week the kids and I get to have a healthy tasty meal prepared by someone else! Cheaper than a takeaway, and just takes 6 minutes in the microwave.

Our favourites are the Portobello Mushroom Risotto, Sweet Potato & Aubergine Sri Lankan Curry and jerk chicken with pineapple.

Worth keeping an eye out for those great deals too - 3 pots for £13!

Speedy delivery, time-slot allocation, text the night before confirming, and has arrived on time, each time I’ve ordered.

Very rude man at computer when I approached the counter..didn't acknowledge me or look up.
When I asked if he was serving he said he didn't notice me. I was the only customer in the shop.
I told him I was in a hurry..my bus was due any minute at the stop outside.
I had 2 items. He took a long time an put them through separately when I said I didn't want a bag and reached to put them in the one I had bought with me he took both my paid for items and walked off with them. This caused me enough delay that I missed my bus.
He is an unprofessional and rude man I will not be returning
He spoke with an Irish accent

Wouldn't accept cash, so I won't be returning. It shouldn't be up to the retailer to decide how I pay for my goods, that's my decision. This is especially worrying when it's food outlets pushing us towards cashless society.

Cook produce tasty freshly cooked meals at a reasonable price with a huge selection of dishes.
You can order the meals online or pick up one of their menus and phone in your order or just go and buy them at your local Cook shop.

The web and the printed menu have an amazing selection including vegetarian, vegan and lower calorie.
Many meals are available for 1, 2 or 4, plus they have meals for larger groups. They also have some fabulous puddings and meals for kids.
The people in store and on the phone are really helpful too.

This week I tried the slow cooked beef with brandy, a king prawn linguine and sticky veg satay, all really delicious. I treated myself to the mango and passionfruit cheesecakes and the chocolate and salted caramel mousse - both fantastic.

The meals arrive frozen and can be heated in the oven or the microwave.
Delicious, well-priced with a huge variety of choice - amazing !
