Brilliant local butchers - I’ve recently stopped buying all of my meat/poultry from the supermarkets as I wanted to support local and have learnt so much from the guys here about the difference in what happens from ‘farm to fork’ when you buy from a reputable butcher vs a supermarket. The difference in quality is astounding and the price isn’t really much higher (if at all, once you factor in the amount you can’t use when you buy from a supermarket/the weight is overinflated with water at supermarkets etc). Super friendly bunch and really passionate and knowledgeable. An absolute credit to our little town.

What a great local business. From the sausage making courses (im sure Pete has recovered by now), the various turduckens at Christmas and Easter, wild boar and all the other specialties that they create. Nothing is too much trouble even at short notice and even when we forget to collect the odd item.. The. Canollis rock and are a favourite of our boys along with the cheeses, and other items. Great butchers , lovely passionate staff who always recommend new meats to try and the selection of meat balls , kebabs and burgers is amazing. Favourite joint is the roast pork. Terrific butcher and a credit to the area.

Wonderful local company. They have supplied me excellent food many times but also went out of their way to provide me with a very specific meat selection that I needed for my raw fed dog because of his allergies. Many friends commented that my dog was better fed than most humans! Very true with this lovely company! Can't recommend enough.

If I could give the Cook and Butcher team 6 stars I would. Having read great reviews and being local we booked them to cater a Hog Roast at our home for a housewarming party, to which we had just under 100 people come last weekend.

The food was amazing and we had so many comments from our friends saying the same, so I hope they get some more bookings as a result going forwards.

Nothing was too much trouble. Due to awkward parking Pete did a site visit a few weeks prior and their converted horsebox used for serving was excellent so meant no gazebo to put up.

After everyone was fed they stripped the rest of the pig and being freshly cooked we were able to freeze some of the leftovers.

Their sides were also amazing, stuffing, apple sauce, potato salad, coleslaw and not forgetting the CRACKLING!

Thanks again guys, you deserve all the great previous reviews and Stacey and I wish you every continued success with your business.

This is the only place I buy my meat from. It's garenteed quality fresh products. We are exceptional lucky to have a butchers shop & I think it's very important, that as residents we support local businesses.
