I’m really disappointed with my recent experience at Cook. I’ve been a loyal customer for a while and have always had a smooth ordering process, but today was a letdown.

I received both a text and an email confirming that my order was ready for pickup. However, when I arrived, it wasn’t ready at all. I called later to inquire about it and found the staff to be unprofessional and disorganized. It was frustrating to see such a lack of coordination.

Given this experience, I’m hesitant to return. I hope they can improve their service, as I used to enjoy ordering from them. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Really love their vegan lasagna, prices are okay but would love slightly bigger portions. This is a portion for 2 that I shared with my partner but yes we could do with a little more 🙂

Remember that time when you were over at your favourite aunt’s for dinner and that gobsmacking stew called for take home tubs? ‘Cook’ offers just that - wholesome, family-style meals, flash frozen for that added touch of convenience.

Offering a broad spectrum of cuisines and serving sizes, Cook’s frozen meals are great to stash away in your freezers and taste every bit like mom’s cooking. At under £5 per serving, it’s a steal for quality.

I’ll definitely be stocking up!

As a vegetarian I thought I would try the Nut Loaf, as this year I felt too idle to make my own. I usually use Rose Elliot's vintage recipe from Not Just a Load of Lentils - which is really good. But this Nut Loaf was not really edible - it was a coconut loaf. The coconut flavour dominated - which is one nut you don't want to include in a Nut Loaf (Roast) - far too sweet. Very disappointing as I bought 2 and invited friends, and we all found it inedible. I don't think this Nut Loaf was made by a strictly vegetarian - it's a meat eater's concept of an interesting Loaf.

But the service was friendly. I just hope if next year they decide to offer Nut Loaf they will find a more traditional vegetarian recipe.

Yummy food, great service!

As we were just two people this Christmas we decided to order from Cook as we didn’t want to spend all day cooking. I’d never ordered from Cook before but thought the dishes on offer looked appealing and a reasonable price point. We were very happy with all aspects of our dinner! We chose beef wellington which was so, so good along with 4 sides and a dessert which was the perfect amount for one big dinner and then a small meal on Boxing Day. All cooked in the oven and ready in just 1 hour. At around £40 I thought it was a great option and am hoping to try some more dishes soon. Collection from Blackheath store was super easy. 5 mins in and out, much better then the huge que for the butchers!
