We had a large gathering at this venue and absolutely loved our stay. Deborah was extremely communicative and accommodating, providing a warm welcome on arrival and responding promptly to our questions. The venue itself was fantastic, with plenty of room for our large group, cosy nooks and the open studio space for a drawing class. We loved the attention to detail in the decor. The bedrooms were spacious and tastefully decorated and we enjoyed being able to sit outside in the seating areas in the sunshine. Having an en suite for every room was also very much appreciated by this group of ladies when getting ready for our evening of fun! The kitchen was fully equipped, with excellent amenities and gorgeous tableware, which meant self-catering was a breeze. Overall, absolutely faultless and would definitely come again! Thank you for an amazing weekend - we will treasure the memories.

What an amazing weekend we had! Can’t express how beautiful and perfect our stay was. We organised a hen do and just had the best time, Deborah the owner was very helpful and everything was made so easy for our organising (as there was 15 of us). The entire farm was presented beautifully, we will 100% be back for another celebration or a more restful weekend ☺️ thank you Clayhill for everything.

I have stayed at Clayhill Arts twice for workshop retreats. Debbie and the team did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and productive. Perfect hosts! We had delicious food (cake was amazing!) and the facilities worked brilliantly for our size group of 15 - 20 people. The bedrooms are really comfortable, with lovely bathrooms, crisp linen and fresh individual style to each space. Great grounds for a wander, and easy access. This is a fantastic retreat space.

I recently hosted a 3 day workshop at Clayhill Arts & was truly blown away by whole experience. The location & set up is so stunning. From the gorgeous rooms to the dreamy studio space, amazing food & glorious views it really is such a magical place! I’ve made memories that I’ll cherish forever. Deborah & Michael are brilliant hosts & what they’ve achieved at Clayhill is so admirable. Just wish I lived closer as I’d be there every week! ||This is a place every creative should visit, having this perfect setting made the workshop so much more enjoyable for everyone & we all felt like we’d had a mini holiday too.||Thanks again to everyone at Clayhill & to Katherine for her wonderful support & organisation x

I recently hosted a 4 days workshops at Clayhill Arts, and had the pleasure of spending 5 nights in their amazing accomodation. Converted from former stables (?) , 2 facing rows of sympathetically and beautifully converted self contained en-suite bedrooms adorn the former farmyard. The rooms are furnished simply , but to a very high standard, which is evident throughout the entire complex of buildings. Clearly a lot of thought and care has gone into this place, and many little classy touches provide a sense of luxury that still manages to give a feeling of relaxed homeliness. ||||From the gorgeous soft (organic, I think) bed linens and towels, super comfy mattress, and delicious and eco friendly bath room products, to the deliciously balanced meals, cakes and comfortable furnishings in the farmhouse lounge and dining room, Deborah and Michael have really thought of it all. ||||The former diary barn/workshop/meeting/conference area is a triumph, with its acres of glass, and light bright, airy feel, and is set up to anticipate all your needs. The surrounding gardens and wildflower meadow are managed for wildlife and to create a seamless transition with the surrounding countryside, and will only get better with age.||||Whether you need a quiet little retreating the countryside, or a stunning place to host an event for you and your guests, Clayhill Arts has it all. Highly recommended!

I spent 5 days at Clayhill as artist in residence, and what an incredible stay it was. Despite being only a few minutes outside Bridgewater, Clayhill feels wonderfully secluded and self contained. With wonderful views of the enveloping fields, it feels the perfect place to retreat, focus and rest. The accommodation is stylish and comfortable, with colourful, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The communial kitchen is very high spec, with every type of appliance and cooking equipment you could need. Deborah and Michael are warm, relaxed and incredibly hospitable hosts. With a diverse and ever evolving creative/educational program, Clayhill is an exciting hub for the arts and a truly beautiful place to stay.

I had a brilliant time here on the 'Paper Samplers and Experimental Bookbinding' course recently, led by Jennifer Collier. Clayhill is a beautiful location for a course, being quiet, restful and spacious. Deborah is also a chef so the food was first rate, as was my accommodation. I recommend staying here for a residential course as that way you get a lot more for your money; for example, I was given thoughtful advice and information about ways I could develop my practice further, which I wouldn't have had if I hadn't stayed over.
Jennifer was an excellent tutor, being an expert in her field, kind, patient and happy to share her knowledge and advice. I have learned an awful lot of things that I can feed into my own practice and I cannot recommend Clayhill Arts highly enough.
