Went there yesterday for first time with a friend of mine.

Very quiet and lovely place. Well maintained pegs( though the portaloo wasn't pleasant at all and I was wondering initially why people where using the bushes, though there was children around). The bailiffs was very friendly.

As about fishing , well it's not easy water and certainly not one of them where you catching tiny carp all day long until you hate the bloody things. However there is decent fish and with some patience and the right bait you can have a very decent fishing trip.

I got myself a decent bream and three lovely carps( a mirror at about 6lb, common at 8lb and another common 12lb). My friend got two carps between 6 and 7. However lots of the 20 or so people didn't catch anything. As I said it's not easy water.

In short it's definitely worth it if you like the challenge but don't expect to catch a lot. However the fish is in really pristine condition - like they barely get caught, couldn't fault any of the fish we had and for a commercial fishery this alone is fab.

Love this place. Well looked after with plenty of pegs available. Pegs available for disabled people too. Portaloo on site cleaned dailey and a cafe on the farm right next door. Local take aways will deliver! Overnight fishing available, just speak to one of the extremely helpful bailiffs (Jon borrowed me his scales for an overnight session when he had never met me before!). Carp ranging upto 18-20lb range, large variety of fish in the lake from F1s, Mirrors, Commons through to Tench, Barbel and loads of Silvers. Kids can fish here! Prices are decent, £7 for a day ticket. £1 more for an extra rod. £10 for parent plus child (extra rods included) and £25 for a 24hr. Bailiff are round throughout the day and are only a message away if needed. Feel safe and secure whilst fishing and cars locked in overnight for security. Get up there and see for yourself! Tight lines! ?

Not bad, well pegged and maintained, if I had one complaint it would be lack of bankside vehicle access which for disabled anglers is paramount even if only to drop off gear
