I used Cireco for my business collections but ended up moving provider. Unfortunately one of our bins was stolen and set on fire, resulting in a replacement being needed. Cireco reluctantly provided one and suggested if it happened again I would be charged for a replacement.

To avoid being charged I invested in a large industrial chain and padlock with Cireco being provided with the combination for the lock. On the first occasion of the bin being emptied the chain and padlock were removed and either disposed of or stolen by Cireco. They refused to return this to us or pay the invoice we sent for a replacement.In fact they ignored our initial requests and had to be chased several times for a response.

As a result we terminated the contract and moved to a better service with another provider. Who are not only cheaper but honest and more efficient. Unfortunately due to Cireco being tied to Fife Council they have a bit of a monopoly with local collections and there's little need to provide a good service.
