Nice working farm, it's a shame that we can't pet the animals. My kids love animals but since they couldn't pet them, they didn't enjoy it so much. The road which lead there were very narrow. The animals are cute.

Plenty of parking, great for kids to enjoy seeing farm animals close up with opportunities to feed them. Nice signposted route. Lovely handbook encouraging children to find certain things/animals. Great woodland play area with lots of mini tractors for the children. Cafe is reasonably priced and a decent choice of snacks. Farm shop sells good farm food. Dogs are allowed on a lead in most areas. Would definitely recommend

We went with our 3 year old grandson to see Santa in his grotto. It was a bit of a wait but well worth it. All the toy diggers and wooden houses kept him amused while waiting. He was able to pick his own quality toy from Santa.
We will be back in the new year with our free pass to visit the farm animals.

Visited for Christmas in the howling winds, the staff had done a superb job making a magical elf land to explore. Delightful staff, delicious food, very cosy and just a wonderful day despite the terrible weather. Will be back to see the animals! Shout out to the elves who were there at 8am to put the decorations back up!

We went here as an alternative to a few other local farms and there was a Halloween event on. It was overall good day, there was plenty on for the kids and you got a little map with activities for children which our kids enjoyed. We also did the pumpkin picking and spooky forest, the staff there were great. Would have been 5 stars but we had to wait 40 minutes for lunch in a busy cafe and also the main toilets were not working so you had to hunt around for the spare ones which was not clearly signed. Would go again though.

Liked: We really enjoyed all of the facilities at Church Farm Ardeley. The play areas for the kids were perfect and the farm animals were so sweet. The farm is well laid out with good access. The shop is well stocked and coffee shop and other small businesses on site are also worth a visit. The pub has a nice little garden area which we enjoyed.

We stayed as a group of 4 families with young children and felt the site had everything we needed.

Church Farm is about 15-20 min drive from Stevenage town centre which was good for getting any extra supplies although most of what we needed was provided in the onsite shop.

Toilets and showers were clean and worked well. I also loved the addition of the solar lights in the toilets which was a thoughtful touch.

Liked: Peaceful. No music. Ground soft, perfect for pegs. Level pitches. Lots of walks.
Staff friendly.
Looking forward to taking the grandchildren next year.

Disliked: Airplanes, can be very noisy throughout the night.
We didn't have take any meat as hoping to purchase from farm shop, disappointed as meat was prepack and no sign of a butcher.
