The grounds of Chillington Hall are stunning, with a rich variety of wild mushrooms that make for fantastic photo opportunities. The knowledgeable guide made the walk both informative and enjoyable, sharing fascinating details about each mushroom species we encountered. We went on a Mushroom Walk.
An absolutely stunning house in beautiful grounds.
The lady who took the walk was lovely, but we felt she could have been more engaging/enthusiastic.
The owner of the house was there. He was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome.

Chillington Hall, is a hidden gem, set in lovely gardens, the rooms are majestic. It’s a bit out of the way but it’s well worth the effort to find and enjoy.
We were lucky enough to have the Mr Giffard as our guide who made the hall come alive with so many interesting historic and present day stories of his home.

I attend a stone carving course every Thursday at 10am until 1 pm. It’s run by Amerton Arts. They provide stone, tools and tuition. It’s at the home farm at the rear of the hall.
The staff at Chillington hall are so accommodating and make us very welcome. They also can arrange private group tours of the hall and grounds.
Google Chillington Hall for details.

What a lovely grade 1 listed Georgian country house this place is, located not far from Brewood, in Staffordshire.
The lake and parkland surrounding the house were landscaped by that famous Capability Brown.
The house dates back to 1724. Apparently it replaced the 16th century home of the High Sheriff of Staffordshire; but the area is even older still and gets a mention in the Domesday Book.
Such a lovely setting for events and looks great with the Hall for a backdrop.
A nice day, nice place, nice cars. A few more signs and what more could you ask for.
