My lovely chicken cottage was on a 2-4 week delivery time and it actually arrived exactly 2 weeks after ordering it.
There was regular communication re delivery - initially via email and then via the phone. I had 3 phone calls to keep me updated as to where they were throughout the day. They said 4-4:30pm and that's exactly when they arrived.
The team put the cottage together on site which only took 45mins. They also gave me advice about keeping chickens, automatic door openers and demonstrated how the coop functions.
Yes they do have a central switchboard/reception but they always got back to me.
I would highly recommend this company. The product is excellent, the team professional and very communicative.

We now have a fantastic bespoke rabbit mansion and cannot fault the quality or materials used in its construction nor the two family members that undertook the installation. They were both really nice genuine people and much happier than I would have been after a long journey from Kent to Bristol to undertake the installation.

Our delivery and installation from payment took around 8 weeks which for a family run business is an acceptable time to wait, given we would have thought they have a relatively full order book, the size of the product we ordered and the logistics and availability to get to Bristol.

Now there are a number of negative google reviews which is not good for any company. We experienced similar issues with cancelled deliveries for a number of reasons and we were increasingly nervous and started to read more into the reviews as you would when you make a sizeable outlay.

However we were always advised of the delay and the owners worked with us to achieve the end goal.

As a family run business you are more exposed to the challenges of running a business with material availability, staff shortages, transport and family issues all of which can impact on the smooth running and are unfortunate.

What you cannot take away from this company is their passion for the product, their want to do the right thing, the kind nature of the people and the quality of the product.

So if you do experience any issues hang in there. All good things come to those that wait.

The absolute best company to get a chicken house from in my experience! Worth every penny. We received ours in the morning, prompt and very lovely people. By the afternoon we had painted and personalised it! This was made easy by the design of the coop allowing me access to all areas with ease. Had a lovely chat as they set up and talked through care for the coop.

Avoid at all costs they take your money and then cancel the order without returning funds just to add to their response I’ve a recorded conversation with the owner offering a £500 discount due to atrocious service which was reluctantly agreed to by myself on the basis they were delivered the following week. Obviously this company did not do that but cancelled the order themselves. They say we have been refunded but that just adds to the case as they haven’t done. It is now a legal matter. I’m only leaving this review so others can make a judgement as to whether they want to lose money too.

Absolutely chuffed to pieces. I ordered a large rabbit house with a couple of changes (balcony in certain place etc). There were a couple of delays but i was kept fully up to date and they werent long (1week) Holly in the office kept me well informed and even threw in a bunny hide to make it up to me. When Dan and his daughter Chloe came, they were fab! Loved seeing this duo working and so so polite. Gave me tips on the dos and donts and just a pleasure to have in my garden. Would highly recommend. Very sturdy build, great craftsmanship and great quality.

Awful experience, paid for a chicken house that never arrived. They never returned the calls and I’ve now lost the money. Complete scammers avoid at all costs.

Disappointed. Communication was adequate but a lot of delays to delivery and excuses. We were let down three times, albeit one of those times was over the storm weekend.

When ordering we asked for an extra catflap to the outside, then asked to upgrade to a double run, expecting that to mean an extra cat flap both sides. Rather than clarify with us he just did the illogical thing of adding a catflap to only one side, and then forgot to install it anyway, just leaving it unfinished. So we now have to finish the run ourselves and add the extra catflap. It’s a good thing we noticed and didn’t put the cats in with the gaping hole where the cat flap should have been.

Also neither of the doors opens freely as both are installed wonkily and jam against the frame as seen in the image. We even used a spirit level to check that the blocks we laid to put it on were straight.

So a potentially nice cat building let down by a shoddy installation and poor customer service. Fed up of excuses we’ve been forced to rectify the mistakes ourselves.

Have had the bunny warren for a week or so now. It looks so stylish in our garden, it is very well made and of solid construction. When we initially spoke to Dan about what we were after, he was so interested in how I kept my bunnies and what may or may not be useful to me, he didn't just want my money, he genuinely wanted to build me a house that suited my bunnies. I have read many of the negative reviews and I would agree that Dan is difficult to get hold of but what you have to remember is that he is making projects and installing them for customers. He works 7 days a week most days, he is therefore very busy. I took to phoning the landline, leaving a message where necessary and I always got a call back, sometimes well into the evening. Dan is one of the nicest people I have dealt with and not once did I find him rude. We had to make some changes on site during the installation due to our needs but this did not phase Dan at all, I would definitely use Cherry Acres again.
