Not a regular customer, but never disappointed yet. popped in for haggis, a neep and some tatties today and as if by magice a pair of steak and haggis pies joined the list. The pies are what has prompted the writeup, heated for 20 mins at 180C fan oven they were simply magnificent. Very meaty with chunks of tender steak and well seasoned haggis. Not for vegetarians, an absolute treat for normal people. 6 out of 5 stars for the pie artist.

Bought a family steak pie today and it was AMAZING.. steak you could cut like butter... so tender. Pastry as light as a feather.. gravy delish too. Staff in shop lovely and happy to advise on cooking times/temp. So cheers for that. My other half a Londoner who is v fussy about his pies (mash an Liqour!)🤣 Said OMG this pie is off the scale ace.. shop sparkling clean and such a good selection of yummy treats.. thanks so much

A very clean butchery, with a wide selection of fresh meat, finally it's not more expensive than in the supermarkets, the big difference is, I can choose my choice of meat, and I can set if it's fresh or not. A very friendly young boy served me, he knew his stuff🥰

Mushy Pies

I visited this butcher last week and purchased amongst other things a medium steak pie. When I arrived at the shop, there was no one about and had to call several times for service. Eventually a young man sauntered through offering no apologies for not hearing me. We had the piie
that night. What a disappointment,,,,one cube of steak,and the rest was shredded mush.. I complained a couple of days later Again, there was no one about (a less honest person could have helped themselves to anything on display and been off. The same person who had originally served me wandered through a few minutes later. Yet again, no appology for waiting. When I complained that the steak pie was full of mush, he looked at me as if I had two heads and said and I quote “it’s supposed to be mushy, we boil the meat” This is supposed to be a good quality butcher. What a shame it is let down by a member of staff who obviously has no interest in his job.

Very bad experience, over charged by twice. Got a credit after bringing it up. The steak pie I got was not very good. I would avoid this place.
