Been here once about 9 years ago and again recently. It was comforting to see that this sweet little fossil shop was still there and pretty much completely unchanged 😍 Incredible range of fossils and crystals, I wish I had something like this locally!

I sadly didn't take any photos inside the shop but here's a photo of a cool fossil I found on the beach 😆

My favourite place, nothing is better than a few hours walking the beaches, some chips and then spending some money on the fossil shop! We bought lots but especially enjoyed splitting a geode that we bought

Excellent store with very pretty fossils for sale. The most interesting finds for me were the fossilised tree trunks. They also have small chisels and geological hammers for sale.

This shop is honestly one if the most interesting I have ever visited. It is a must on my children’s holiday list every year and loved by all the family. The staff are always friendly and helpful and there is something to suit every range of budget from little pocket money fossils up to the incredible big fossils that everyone can treasure. A really special place to visit.

We come to Charmouth every year sometimes twice a year, always visit this lovely shop and the kids absolutely love digging through the broken bits and finding a bit of treasure, as well as buying some of the bigger amazing fossils on offer too. Also love watching your Facebook videos when you go out hunting. Can't wait to come back at Easter.

If you’re a fossil fanatic, Charmouth Fossils is your treasure trove on the Jurassic Coast. Spanning 95 miles of Dorset and East Devon, this stretch of coastline boasts 185 million years of Earth’s history. Thanks to cliff erosion, the beaches are a hotspot for finding incredible fossils like ichthyosaurs, giant marine reptiles, dinosaur bones, intricate crinoids, and ammonites.

Tony Gill, the proprietor, turned his hobby into a profession after 25 years of collecting. Nestled in the charming coastal village of Charmouth, right below the Heritage Coast Centre, his shop is a fossil hunter's paradise. With a vast selection of fossils, crystals, gemstones, carvings, and other collectibles, there’s something for every enthusiast. You can even hire fossiling hammers for your beachcombing adventures, and if you strike gold, Tony will prepare your find for you.

I walked away with a few megalodon teeth, shark teeth in stone, some ammonites, and a handful of mineral rocks. All for just £60—a steal compared to what they'd cost elsewhere! Charmouth Fossils is a gem for anyone looking to take a piece of ancient history home.

As a geologist I visit Charmouth a lot and Charmouth Fossils is always a stop without fail. Great selection of fossils on offer at good prices. My last purchase was an extremely delicate brittle star fossil, which looks fab in my collection at home. Highly recommended to visit.
