Super picturesque spot for camping. The owners were really nice and helpful.
Camping facilities are basic. Just a toilet, sink and tap but well worth a staying.
We stayed in the field near the farm where there's a lovely stream, trees, sheep and the farmers friendly, well behaved, dogs.

One of my favourite walks on Dartmoor comes down from the two moors way and past this farm. It is a wonderful place, full of wildlife and beautifully managed. I couldn’t do my annual camping trip on Dartmoor last year because of the pandemic and I missed it terribly. I hope to be back before too long! Now I’ve found this site I’ll take some photos next time I visit.

We bought half a hogget of lamb from Challacombe Farm last year and it tasted really delicious especially when cooked on the barbeque. Earlier this year I emailed Mark to ask him to put us on the list for another half hogget and we collected the box direct from the farm a few weeks ago. Over that weekend, they were organising a walk through their fields following information signs about the wild flowers. By doing this walk we enjoyed seeing more of this picturesque farm on Dartmoor. It was interesting to learn more about how they manage conservation alongside farming. Thanks again and see you next year!

We picked up our half lamb last week as arranged. All nicely packed, as requested for 2 people.
So far we have only eaten part of a shoulder which I slow roasted. We were not disappointed it was absolutely delicious and made us 2 meals. We are looking forward to enjoying more of this lovely local meat.

I love this place. Mark and Naomi are so at one with nature and very in tune with the local environment. Because of this and their farming methods their meat is the tastiest I have eaten and well worth travelling from Exeter for. Keep up the great work guys!

I have visited a number of times and its always an interesting place to go. From birds to butterflies, fungi to flowers Challacombe Farm has it all. Plus it's managed in a sensitive way with traditional types of farm animals. Brilliant!
