Recently had the most gorgeous weekend in the Highmoor pod. Such a stunning location, and the cabin was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. Absolutely every need was met even some we hadn’t thought of. Fantastic facilities, cosy, comfortable and luxurious! We also met the host Emma, who was so welcoming and friendly! Thank you so so much, we’ll certainly be back!! <3

We had absolutely gorgeous stay! It was perfect from start to finish. Emma was amazing and so helpful in the booking and so helpful with everything while we were there.||Every single detail has been thought of down to the extra little bits in the tea box to a fantastically equipped kitchen with absolute everything you could think of/need, as well as the things you would probably forget The little shop at the end of the pods is perfect for any extra little treats or bits you forget too!||Gorgeous themes throughout each season are just such a lovely extra cosy touch too!||Emma made sure the hot tub was hot and ready for our arrival. She messaged early to say everything was ready if we wanted to arrive early also which was amazing.||The kids absolutely adored their stay and it was perfect for some quality family time ?||A huge thanks to Emma and Co again, what a fabulous place, we will be back!

5 stars!!! We stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed for more! Beautiful location, super cosy pods ( best ones I’ve seen online to book) very well thought out design! My little girl absolutely loved it ❤️ And so did we! Hot tub was a massive bonus! Love that it’s powered by logs ( smells divine in the cooler weather)|Pods are kitted out with more than what we expected, hair dryer, air fryer , coffee , tea. |Emma the owner is so lovely and welcoming. My little girl had the best time and we will 100% be returning in the near future. |Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed ?

Fantastic pods with amazing attention to detail. So many added extras and home comforts I think Emma has thought of everything! We stayed as a family of 4 and took our small dog for 3 nights. Emma sent us a text telling us the Pod and hot tub were ready early. Pod decorated in Halloween theme (even the bedding!), and even a bundle of things for our dog. Emma very friendly, we will definitely return

Wow wow wow! What an amazing weekend we have just had staying here!
We took our 2 children (aged 7 and 11) and they have smiled, laughed and played all weekend.
The pod itself was absolutely out of this world beautiful... so clean and welcoming. The bedding and decor was all autumnal (which I believe is changed throughout the year to match the seasons/ holidays) and there was an abundance of fresh towels and bedding.
The hot tub was ready for us to get in when we arrived with plenty of wood available in the stores to maintain the temperature throughout the weekend. We all made the most of the hot tub!
I could go on about how fantastic it was for ages, but I'll leave it with WOW!
Highly recommend this place for couples, families and groups.

I booked Castle guards farm retreat as a Christmas present and it did not disappoint. I have been to other pods/cabins in the area and nothing compares to Castle Guards for both value for money and overall experience. Our pod had many features along with Christmas decorations, a smart tv, a hot tub and plenty of space to mention a few of our favourites. The check in and out process was easier than anywhere I’ve ever stayed before and Emma was so helpful and friendly we will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to anyone.

What a place, myself and @vikkijones31 escaped the hustle and bustle of half term and ran to the Lake District where we stayed at @castle_guards_farm_retreat , just outside of Cockermouth.
On arrival we was greeted by Emma who was absolutely amazing, there really is nothing she will not do to make stays everything you want and need.
She showed us around, gave us the run down on the wood fired Hot Tub and left us to our own devices with her number if we did need her. The Pod was kitted out with everything you would need and more, air fryer, pots and pans, dishwasher with dishwasher tablets, stocked up coffee section with sachets of hot chocolate, tea bags, flavoured teas, sugars, sweeteners and squash in sachets if need be. The pods have the potential to sleep 6, with a double bed, bunk beds and a sofa that pulls out to a double. Underfloor heating was amazing and we was a little concerned about temperature as we was North and the time of year but it was never an issue. The attention to detail Emma has provided is outstanding, from supplying a on store shop that has everything you need in case you forget things at home to stocked up with products from local businesses.
This follows over into the Pods with hand wash, shower gel and body Wash being supplied by @purelakes who are based in Lake District themselves. Breakfast and BBQ packs supplied by the local butcher.
This place really is the place to get to if your wanting to escape, the hot tub is such an amazing addition to the pod as we spent most our time in there. With the starry night sky above you and the roar of the fire pit this place ticks all the boxes. Not far from @castle_guards_farm_retreat is the pretty town of Cockermouth, we ventured into and walked the river walk which led us down to the Castle, this place is such a little gem with its craft bakeries and independent coffee shops it is a hidden gem.
We would like to give a massive thank you to Emma and her family for doing everything that they could to make our break amazing.
I cannot recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back, with the boys in tow next time

Fantastic stay in a beautiful pod. Everything had been thought of and the added Autumnal/Halloween decorations were amazing attention to detail. We stayed as a family of 4 plus our small dog (who even got her own welcome pack). Emma is so lovely and takes pride in what she does
We will be back.
