I made the mistake of stopping by this stall at Hexham market last Saturday, it was closing and the vendor insisted there was "still a good deal to be had" I felt a bit bad as it looked like he had a lot of stock left and he seemed nice enough. I purchased a small Victoria sponge cake and 2 pistachio croissants, I was taken aback when I was charged £15! I was expecting £10 max and that would have been generous! I presumed the price tags had been taken away as it was the end of day, but it seems like this is a tactic going off other reviews, probably pluck the prices out of the air as they go.

The croissants were terrible, bad pastry, no filling, dreadful. You can get far better at a supermarket for circa 90p. In all fairness the cake was decent. Absolute daylight robbery. No the wonder they had 90% of their stock left, the majority of customers must ask the price before purchasing and be put off, rightly so!

I’m all for supporting small businesses and if the produce had been good, I would have not left a review, but in this case it left a very bad taste.

Got a chance to try their stuff at Malton Food Market. The sfogliatelle was nice, if a bit hard. The cannoli... Wasn't real cannoli. I was quite disappointed, as clearly the ricotta was mixed with whipped cream. By the time we had it it had flattened out completely.

I was really looking forward to eating the cheesecake’s I bought at Shipley farmer’s market, it was expensive but they looked really good on the stand. They were overpriced and very bland don’t pay the price they are not worth it.

£6 for a stale Canolli filled with cheap squirty cream instead of ricotta and icing sugar. Cardinal sin. Don't bother coming back to Saltaire farmers market with this garbage again.

Bought some cake and biscuits from a stall at the Lancashire steam festival, £39 for 4 biscuits a small cake and 3 cannelloni! No prices are shown, and they were definitely not worth the cost!
