Leaving 3* just for the sake the cakes are lovely. However I do have a few issues. I’m not one to ever leave a review nor a bad one but I think in this case it’s really important. I used to go to carters all the time in early 2024. I loved the atmosphere and how the owner cared about her customers and the cakes she was making. I went in today for the first time in a long time and the shop is so crammed. I noticed a new deli section has been added and I just personally don’t like the idea. It’s carters cakes not carters cakes and deli. But hey that’s just me. The girl that served me was so rude and I actually found it really upsetting. I used to love the service the owner would provide but now it just seems not only do they now focus more on crème cakes and deli they just don’t seem to care about their customers. Was really sad to see no more freeze dried candy. This is just a very honest review from my experience. I’m sure other people love it but I just think the customer service needs to be improved and obviously the lack of space. The shop is fairly big so I’m not sure why it’s all been crammed like it is. The cakes are lovely but for me the price is completely unaffordable. Paid £13 for 2 brownies and a brownie ball! I didn’t ever remember it being this expensive. Over £4 for a small brownie!

Wow! What more can I say! The cake tasted amazing and looked fantastic! Chocolate drip cake, 4 layer 6 inch chocolate sponge with caramel filling and buttercream. Double drip and topped with assorted chocolates, cookies & caramels! Everyone's reaction was "wow". Even when everyone had their first bite their reaction was "wow". I was so pleased how it turned out 😊. My partner loved it! A little goes a long way too! The slices were HUGE! Doesn't matter how small you cut it, the height of the cake means it'll be a huge slice 😂. We had half a slice each, so there's plenty of leftovers 😍

Alana's service is absolutely fantastic! She's extremely helpful, polite, friendly, approachable, affordable and her communication is better than anyone else and she's a lovely person! My daughter feels completely at ease around her and she's usually very shy around new people! I don't get a faster response to my messages from any other catering service.

I highly recommend Carter's Cakes! I'll definitely be using her again!
