Have been waiting for a job in Bembridge on a Friday to buy some fresh fish,today was the day and visited the shop and bought some oak smoked haddock and a plaice fillet.Absolutely top quality.Great price and good service.The Island is lucky to have a quality fishmongers on our doorstep at such good value.

Ordered the fish box via Facebook. Mike was very responsive and delivered the box to our door all neatly packaged on ice. The fish was really fresh and tasty. I highly recommend trying Captain Stans!

We stayed in Bembridge on holiday last week and visited Captain Stan's twice. Wow what a fantastic selection of fresh fish, absolutely spoilt for choice. We opted for the tuna steaks and fresh samphire on both occasions. Absolutely delicious. Served with our favourite for tuna, a lime, caper and coriander dressing. Will look forward to returning when we visit next.

We popped in and ordered two seafood platters and a lobster for four people last week. The service was warm, welcoming and efficient. The subsequent communication was great and the collection of our order was quick and convenient.

But of course the main point of the review is that the seafood was absolutely spot-on perfect. So, so delicious and fresh and so much of it. We ended up saving nearly half for our lunch the following day!

Just to add, while we were being served in the shop, I was looking at the fresh fish available, and it looked so good. When we come back next year we’re going to try some of your sea bass as well as another couple of platters.

Good fishmonger in Bembridge. I had expected more of the fish to be sourced locally.
But the scallops I bought were excellent, cooked in butter, olive oil, garlic and chilli flakes!

Delicious fresh fish - picked up some small local turbot fillets and some local prawns. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Happy to weigh up the options. Would recommend a visit.
