After 4 years you would expect a big show. £16 for early bird tickets, for that price you just get on the field. If you kids want a go on huck a duck £5! £4.50 for a 99, food stalls the price for everything seemed to be £12. My little lad is 2 he wanted to go in with the giant tortoise... if I wanted to hold his hand in there I had to pay as well.....No bike jumping, no monster trucks or anything interesting. Bird of prey show... Very boring then a big long wait for a pig race. Racket on the main stage just a bloke who liked the sound of his own voice.
THE FUN FAMILY DAY OUT IS DEAD ITS NOW A SET UP TO BLEED AS MUCH MONEY FROM YOU AS POSSIBLE AND OFFER AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.

Extremely disappointed,
Having been in the past as a family we were really looking forward to this. Paid on the gate.. £22.50 each to watch a few horses prance around and look at some stalls to cost you more money.
A few cars and tractors.
Really poor advertising having pictures of bikes. Monster trucks etc. to then having nothing anywhere like.
Not worth the money. Won’t be going back

We drove all the way to sutton from cannock looking forward to a fun family day out ! Arrived and queued to park miles away only to get to the gate to be told it was £22.50 each even for our two children as they are over 6 we debated with other familys in the que and decided we couldnt justify this cost! Im so glad we walked away now reading these reviews ! We then had to que to get out ! Shocking cost and set up !

First time going to canwell show and I had high expectations as I was told how good previous shows were, also by looking at pictures on the website, bike jumping/monster trucks I was hoping for a fun packed family day.
However that was not the case, soo expensive just to basically walk into a field as you still have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for everything inside.

Car parking - poorly organised - the same gate used for entry & exit.
Queue to get in - very slow and poorly organised - we had prepaid but had to stand waiting for 30 minutes in the same queue as those who were buying their tickets on the gate.
Show - £19 for this was a total rip-off. A few old cars & tractors, stage events involving karaoke class entertainers, maybe 30 stalls? Dreadful.
Horse events...not a patch on previous years - you could go to any horse event & see more for free.
Massively over-priced and hugely disappointing.

Was absolutely disappointed near £40 for two tickets to walk around a bare field £4 for a donkey ride that only lasted around 30 seconds £4 for an ice cream No stalls no events no animals like last events to go into the tortoise pen £4 per child . [ if I can remember, ]Will not be going again or recommending to friends and family.

What can I say? This used to be a highlight of our year pre-covid. To say this year was disappointing would be an understatement. Very little of the traditional country show elements left. Hardly any livestock, main ring events very sparse, no foxhounds, no impressive displays (previous years have had gundogs, monster trucks, security dogs, motorcycle stunts, dancing JCBs, brass bands, kids dancing, etc, etc, etc). Stalls were thin on the ground, craft marquee very small. Even the display of vintage cars and machinery was small compared to previous years. Didn't spend any money at the food stalls, not because of the prices but because we left before luncthime.
Also very disappointing to see the organisers have been systematically deleting every negative comment on their Facebook page.

Poor.

We had been looking forward to the return of Canwell Show
Been twice in the past and it was a great experience
Went today and there was literally nothing there
In and out in less than half an hour
£46 down the drain
I can’t see anyone returning next year
