Hands down the best cafe in Canterbury! 🐾
All the staff are friendly and attentive to both visitors and all the cats (especially the Sphynx naughties!) Staff are knowledgeable of all their cats and individual needs. Without fail - greeted with smiley friendly staff who are happy to help.
Food and drink is very reasonably priced within Canterbury and really good quality too.
We have been a few times and will return a few more! My daughter is besotted with Waffle, he cuddled on her lap our entire visit (she REALLY didn't mind). So many friendly, well looked after cats each with unique personalities - the menu is a must read as it has backstories about all the residents 😻
We can't wait to come back again, thank you for being amazing!

Canterbury Tails Cat Café offers a charming and cozy experience for cat lovers. You book a time slot and pay online for an hour with the cats, with the option to order drinks at the café—though not included in the fee, they are very affordable.
I was amazed by the number of well-cared-for cats, clearly spoiled and loved by the staff. The interior feels like a whimsical dollhouse designed just for them, with plenty of cozy spaces, toys, and climbing areas. While some cats took their time warming up to us, we were lucky that they all gathered near us when their carer brought out food.
Overall, it was a lovely experience, especially if you enjoy being around cats in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Had a lovely birthday treat from the team and all the cats! It was my first time visiting the cafe, and the team (cats included) are very friendly and welcoming. The cafe is very clean, and all the cats are clearly well looked after! Thank you for a memorable birthday breakfast x

Went for my birthday, really lovely staff, cats, and great cake. Got given a birthday card. Which was a nice surprise.

An absolute paradise for cat lovers! This charming cafe is brilliantly designed with cozy nooks, clever cat toys, and fabulous cat trees spread across two floors. But the real stars are the gorgeous, friendly cats roaming around, bringing so much joy. Worth every mile traveled from Kingston-upon-Thames to Canterbury – a must-visit for anyone who adores cats!

Visited with my friends for my birthday, in late August, & all of us absolutely loved it! The staff were super nice, the kitties were adorable & the chocolate cake is to die for!
We got to look around and find the kitties hiding in different places, got to feed them, pet them and just look at them being adorable. Safe to say every single one of us walked out with a heart full of joy and planning when we will visit again!

RSPCA have stated these places should be closed down because it’s not a natural environment for cats!! ……. And a concrete pen is? These cats were happy, well cared for and thoroughly spoilt. If I was a cat and needed rescuing I’d rather be in this cafe. The space they have to please themselves is wonderful.. if they want a lap they will jump up if they don’t they won’t! Very impressed with their care and comfort.

Except for downstairs being cold it was so lovely there. Great food lovely staff and yummy food and the cats were obviously looked after very well, so soft and happy for fuss when awake (following the rules of not to fuss while asleep)
Highly recommend, we will be new regular visitors.
