Just taken delivery of my green goddess sacks of compost. Lovely driver backed the lorry right into the drive of the allotment and craned them in for me. Great service, now I need to move them and get digging!

We’ve been buying kiln dried logs from CH for years now. Usually around 10 bags a year at least. The last 2 deliveries (4-5 bags) have been really problematic - high proportion of them were too large for our stoves, and being super dense hardwood we found them impossible to chop. We’re having to use loads and loads of kindling to get them to burn; we’re experienced stove users and never have had to go through so much kindling to get a decent fire or these to burn. They just singe and make for a very smoky fire. Pretty disappointed in these last bags we’ve had this winter and looking to see if we can source better option elsewhere.

Excellent service from ordering to delivery. Notification of delivery the day before and driver phoned and hour before drop off to confirm all OK
Delivery driver was very helpful and he managed to drop everything off a lot closer to my raised beds that expected after squeezing his lorry through my gated drive.
Please note the stated delivery times (up to two weeks) which for me was no issue and content was delivered within this constraint. Basically plan for this amount of time.

Fantastic company to deal with. Prices for products are good, quality is good and customer service is always spot on. Delivery driver goes above and beyond to help where possible. So far I’ve used them 4 or 5 times so far this year (2025) and never had any issues. I am already planning my next project and will use them again.

Easy to order and excellent communication the day before delivery when you are given a 2 hour window. Lovely lady delivery driver of the hardwood logs. If you have space, order 2 bags to get free delivery

Excellent size bags of soil and compost delivered, delivery driver was very helpful and placed them neatly on my driveway. Only reason I have given 4 stars is delivery failed to arrive twice but third time lucky otherwise I would definitely have given 5 star rating!
