This weekend we had a fantastic tasting event with the family.
The experience was so relaxed and comfortable. We enjoyed wonderful wines paired with fabulous cheese and small plates, all accompanied by the most personable service.
We ended our visit with a self-guided tour of the vineyard, which was a lovely touch.
I can’t recommend this enough. The most memorable part was the absence of any hard sell or pressure to buy, which made it incredibly nice and relaxing. We truly felt we could have stayed and continued enjoying the experience.

We spent the afternoon at the estate for the grand tour and lunch. Fantastic tour led by Agnes of the vineyard - she was very knowledgeable and engaging! The lunch and wine tasting was fantastic and against a wonderful outdoor setting. The location is fantastic and we were lucky with the weather. The owners Caroline and Lance have created a wonderful relaxed atmosphere with quality product in a friendly setting. A must visit for south Devon!

Definitely worth the narrow winding lanes to get to the vineyard as food is exceptional- good selection if choices on the menu. Service was friendly and welcoming and atmosphere very good . Highly recommend for good wines and excellent food. We will be back ! A real find

We visited Calancombe for the first time yesterday. We did the Super Taster Wine Tasting and had lots of amazing cheese and wine. The whole team were great and really knew their stuff. It felt like we were in Australia - sitting outside in the sun in a beautiful setting drinking great wine - incredible for late October. We were gutted to hear they’re closing and aren’t sure what it’ll look like when it reopens. It would be such a shame if it lost the current vibe and team. Please reopen in the spring!

Had a fantastic time here - relaxing in the sun in late October outside on their patio, whilst having a wine tasting and cheese / charcuterie board. Exceptional food and wine. Great service. Amazing ambiance. So sad to hear that they are closing for a prolonged period this winter - really hoping they will open up with the same vibe early next year as we will definitely be back (please don’t become some pretentious Michelin star grabbing institution - that would ruin what is currently a fantastic set up!).

Such a lovely venue. We went there for lunch with friends, did the wine tasting with cheese and charcuterie. The wine is good and the food delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. The venue was relaxed, especially in the sun. Shame they are closed until spring 2025 as we wanted to come back and try more of the food. Hopefully they will be back next year, in the same format.

Went here for the sparkling wine tour and it was exquisite! We got the tour from the chief winemaker who was so informative and insightful about the whole process and made it so personal. The vineyards are very impressive, as is the restaurant. We tasted four very nice wines, and had the most generous cream tea with it - with the chef offering more jam and cream if needed! The front of house/manager was so friendly and told us everything we needed to know about the different bottles.
It was a really great experience all round and the service was just the best we have experienced for a long time, making us feel so relaxed and welcome that you will want to go back again. What a hidden gem!! (Definitely recommend the bottle of sparkling attached!)

Just finished a long lazy fantastic lunch. A truly wonderful experience with fabulous food and drink and the best and most personal service topped off with a one to one tour. Cannot recommend enough. Will definitely be back when in the area and will most definitely be ordering more top notch wine and gin (and others) online. Thank you for an amazing afternoon
