Perfect plants and great food and drink with stunning views!

We've long been fans of Calamazag nursery near stunning Looe. As an award winning nursery (multiple gold medals from the Royal Horticultural Society) their plants are world class and highly recommended. For years they've shipped around the world and now have an area where you can buy their exquisite flowers and succulents. The owners are often on hand to offer friendly common-sense advice and some amusing stories about the industry. Their passion is clear and their knowledge second to none.

On top of that they now offer light lunches in the form of sandwiches and toasties, cream teas, hot and cold drinks and ice creams. All with high quality, mainly local products while overlooking acres of unspoilt Cornish countryside towards Millendreath. We've sampled the tuna melt, brie and cranberry toastie, ham and cheese and cheese and pickle sandwiches (made by young staff member Freddie and the best we've had in years). The iced teas are great, as are the milkskakes, and the coffee is superb.

Parking is easy and level, the nursery and cafe area are very well maintained. Did I mention the views? You can even eat in one of the poly-tunnels surrounded by foliage and flora which is a lovely idea. The whole place feels relaxed with no pressure to buy, but why wouldnt you sample some lovely local food and stock the garden with something while you're there?

On a beautiful, early autumn day, sitting surrounded by flowers and plants, eating very nice cakes and enjoying the coffee and the view, I can recommend this peaceful, unpretentious cafe/nursery to all tourists.

The staff are courteous and were helpful around allergy knowlege with excellent cake data. Course gravel may cause wheel chair access limitations.

Great place to go if you are chilling and chatting. There are many plants, one of which I'll be ramming into our homeward car, later too.

We have had a few plants from here know. Superb quality at very reasonable price. Within a week we have got signs of cucumbers starting to form on the plants. Had recommended friends they have said the same. Brilliant plants for the money. We have tried other suppliers which have been bad to say the least. Can not put my comments l think they would be barred. Calamazag you all keep up the good work. Quality, price & service excellent. Will definitely be using again

I had my plant delivery today from Calamazg plant nursery, well, blow my socks off! The healthiest, most robust plants I have ever had from any online company! I have been a keen gardener since I was five, bought thousands of plants from so many places in my lifetime. Had plants from all over the country and so many miserable looking specimens you have ever seen, needing serious loving care to bring them back from death! Never, ever, had such beautiful specimens from here, make sure you buy from this company as you will never regret your purchases from Benedictine and Stephen. Oh, I am now reaching my three score and ten, so gardening 65 years and have NEVER been sent such amazing plants.

Absolutely beautiful trailing geraniums arrived. Very carefully wrapped and they were in perfect condition. I have already placed my second order and will use this nursery going forward. Just a shame I live too far away to visit in person.

I am so pleased I have come across this Nursery. I have just taken delivery of one of favourite Fuchsias, Mandarin Cream, which is not often available locally. I lost my last one over the winter and have tried to find a replacement. Searched everywhere no luck and let down by one nursery so was pleased to find Calamazag had them. Ordered 25th June and they arrived today 30th June. Very well developed plants, lovely flowers, very healthy plants, well packaged. I will certainly be using this nursery again.. Thank you.

Waited nearly a month for my plant order even though the company is close by. Was only contacted after 3 weeks ( website says dispatch times are up to 10 days) to say my plants would be ready for dispatch in a week and they would not be delivered with any flowers on them! Only ordered online as I had Covid and couldn't get to a garden centre in person. They blamed Royal mail, who only were not delivering for 2 days this month! Cancelled my order and will just visit my local garden centre now I am well again.
