My company was completely devastated due to COVID-19 and have basically been in hibernation since March 2020 obviously not BWT's fault. I rang up in December asking to cancel my contract and was told that we have a yearly rolling contract so I asked when to email in my notice and was told to email my cancellation at the end of April to ensure the notice was handed in before it rolled over again. So I waited a few months and emailed on the 28th April requesting my contract be cancelled. I received an email reply the following day saying that "Please be aware that if you require to leave you would need to give 30 days notice prior to your contract end date other wise it will roll over into another year". With an attachment letter stating that I would have to pay £747.68 as a termination fee. I replied saying that I was told this was the date to email in my notice and I was very confused. I then received this reply "You signed your contract on the 27/04/2018 so we would have required 30 days’ notice in order to have cancelled the contract. This has unfortunately rolled over into another year now. So if you do require to leave these charges will unfortunately stand. Please contact us if you require any further assistance. " So I missed the date by one day.

Then on the 07/05/21 we had an engineer come in and take the equipment even though I believed we were still dealing with the situation.

BWT is a classic big company where they try to bully smaller companies with their smallprint and loopholes, I am absolutely disgusted with them.

very unprofessional, they changed the frequency of the deliveries (from 2 weeks to 4 weeks) without notification. I asked them to try to delivery at least a few bottles, but the answer was that they have no van nearby. It is 28 degrees and we have no water in the office. I would recommend to anyone to choose another company, it is what I am going to do.

If you are looking for a new water softener avoid these guys. The after sale costs are enormous and nobody else can get the parts to service the device. To explain further it cost £185 for a service that takes less than 30 mins & involves nothing more than replacing a few rubber seals. A total rip off.

Terrible company. Had a unit for 4 years with them and they are still chasing me for more money even though I asked them to take the machine away and paid all bills up to that date. They are demanding another years payment! Extortion.
