Great little afternoon out. Lots of butterfly’s to look at and admire. Had lots of fun looking for caterpillars to. The staff were very informative and knew lots of interesting facts. There was also a craft tent and small light railway on site. There is also a little coffee shop that sells local produce and nice cakes.

Went back for a second visit over the Christmas break after visiting in the summer. The butterflies were fantastic to watch flit about the enclosure and just as interesting second time around. There were plenty of staff on site who were super helpful. The cafe was wonderful and we had a fantastic chat with the gentleman running it as well as an excellent cup of tea and sausage roll! A fantastic day out for any family!

Had a wonderful time here at the Butterfly Farm. Lots of beautiful butterflies and you can go in and out as many times as you like.
It’s quite hot inside so you might need to cool down.
We also visited the bug house and were shown many large insects like a tarantula giant snails and large stick insects by Zara who was very patient with my grandson who has a great love of all creepy crawlers.
There were activities here available but we really wanted to go into the butterfly house.
We also had a few turns on the small railway here which was fun.
All the staff here are really friendly and enthusiastic and happy to help with any query.

An amazing experience had by myself and my granddaughters! My aged 4 & 2 year old granddaughters absolutely lit up having butterflies land on them and fluttering around them. Seeing the cocoons on the branches was amazing as well. Such an amazing price for a fab experience as we were able to go in and out as many times as we liked. The little cafe on site was really reasonable as well, we had two ice creams, a fizzy pop and pastie for little over £7! Then we also had 2 rounds on the train track for a couple of pound each which was thoroughly enjoyed by the girls. Was a thoroughly lovely day out that was just finished off by the friendly staff who we found out were the family that run the farm. Would highly recommend a visit for good old fashioned day out!

This is a brilliant place to visit with children.

It's really good value (£11 for me and my 7 year old granddaughter), and includes a short and interesting bug show in the structure next door. This also has bug books and craft materials.

There's plenty of parking and a cafe.

It's necessarily hot inside, so you need to be able to strip off some layers to avoid overheating. My glasses steamed up instantly, so take a cleaning cloth spec wearers!

We loved it and will visit again.

We visited as a family at the end of December and had a lovely time and experience! The butterflies are enchanting, flying around, landing on visitors and delighted little children. The entrance price is very reasonable given that you can enter and exit the butterfly enclosure as many times as you want. The staff are lovely and very welcoming. The reason for four stars is that the cafe area is rather small (though the food looked lovely; we didn’t eat) and a miniature railway was a bit underwhelming. Overall would highly recommend as a lovely outing especially with young children.

A lovely place, we spent the whole afternoon here with a 7 and 5 year old. A well run attraction with lots more to do than just the butterfly house, which had the most butterflies we have ever seen!

A great little place to spend a couple of hours.
The butterflies are the highlight but there’s also a small train ride, arts and crafts tent and a little farm shop to have a coffee or snack in. My kids love it!
