Absolutely love this place. Could sit in the cafe on a nice sunny day looking out at the view an endless amount of time. The sandwiches are top tier. No stingy portions and the staff are more than happy to be accommodating if like me you are a slightly picky eater. I am always kindly given a doggy bag as I rarely make it through my whole sandwich but I enjoy the treat of having more later in the day at home. The shop is also great. Butchers in particular are top tier and the staff are really lovely and eager to help and advise with choices. I am very excited about stocking my fridge up from the shop this coming Christmas! Will make for a gorgeous roast!

I recently visited the farm shop café for the first time and, while the exterior was charming and inviting, the service left much to be desired. Upon arriving, we were seated quickly, which initially seemed promising. However, things took a turn when we were left waiting for 15 minutes without any attention from the staff.

When the waitress finally returned, instead of taking our order, she asked us to move to a different table. We politely declined, and after some back and forth, she eventually said it was fine for us to stay where we were. However, during this period, we noticed that a table next to us, who had just walked in, was being attended to and served immediately, which felt frustrating given that we had been waiting for quite some time.

This inconsistency in service was disappointing, and after being ignored for so long, we decided not to order and ended up leaving without even trying the food. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the quality of the food as we never had the opportunity to experience it, but the lack of attention and poor service was enough to leave a negative impression.

Overall, while the setting is lovely, the service we experienced was far below expectations. I hope this was just a one-off, but based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Improvements in customer service and attention to detail are definitely needed.

Food in the Farm Shop Cafe - Good service and great food, what more could you want? Seated quickly, given plenty of time to look at the menu without being badgered, and food came in good time. Very reasonably priced too.

First time visiting. Had a brekkie in the beautifully arranged cafe. Staff were lovely.

Loved the shop too, so much so, headed back the day after to top up. I absolutely love the Sausage Rolls and the Meat & Potato pie was devine.

Friendly service, nice tomatoe soup with bread and delicious roast pork, stuffing ciabatta with chips and salad, the mango and strawberries tea was good.

The soup of the day was on specials board.

My second visit in 4 years, as I don't live locally, but if I did live locally, this would be my go to farm shop/ cafe. Amazing views to be had while drinking your coffee and my son loved the fact he could add Spam to his sausage butty.
The pies in the farm shop looked so yummy, brought Pork pie and sausage rolls ( and few other bits too) the pork pie and sausage rolls tasted soooo good. When next we visit this part of the World , we will definitely nip in.
