First Sunday lunch here and absolutely the last, I went for the 2 meats of chicken and beef. As you can see in the picture the chicken came as a cut in half breast and the beef was rancid. Quite an expensive child's portion sized sunday dinner.
Got to say the staff were lovely and very active, shame that the food was so bad.

Came here for breakfast this morning as wanted somewhere nicer for breakfast than the offer at the place we had stayed at. Couldn’t fault it at all. Easy parking. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Gorgeous breakfast with beautiful ingredients. Nice coffee. And very yummy cakes to take home. Highly highly recommended.

Just had the full english breakfast and latte. Very happy, food was awesome. I really need to visit again to sample the cakes. The staff were very friendly. I am in a wheelchair and everywhere was ramped access. Cannot wait to visit again.

Really nice place to stop for a bite to eat. We had a ploughman's and beef pie and chips and it was delicious. Been back again for coffee and cake because who can resist these cakes. We also bought some meat from the farm shop which was lovely.

Great cafe with a big menu which includes full plated meals freshly cooked and lots of traditional meals, burgers, (amazing home made.black pudding) sandwiches and amazing cakes & large portions. Very friendly staff. Clean and well spaced tables. Great parking and electric ar charging points. Well worth a visit.

Two of us visited on Tuesday after a bank holiday and ordered a roast beef dinner and a pork dinner from the Specials board. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The roast potatoes were dry and tough, the gravy was insipid and bland, and the Yorkshire puddings were hard and far from freshly baked. The mushy peas had an off taste, and the meat was tough and chewy. We also ordered two coffees—an Americano and a latte—but both were extremely bitter with a burnt taste. It felt as though the meals were leftovers from Sunday dinner, simply reheated.

The total cost was just shy of £30, which was very poor value for money. To make matters worse, the adjoining pig farm emitted a ghastly stench upon our arrival, which further ruined the experience. It’s safe to say we will not be returning.

Lovely farm cafe, located on the outskirts of Bishop Auckland. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful Saturday morning Farmhouse Breakfast, which was great value, good portion size and locally sourced, quality ingredients... Magic ... The staff confirmed that the bacon and sausages were from animals raised on the farm itself. Can't get more local than that.

If you like your traditional English breakfasts then you will enjoy this little gem.
