Review: Pumpkin Picking

Firstly; they have toilets on site.

We greatly enjoyed our experience at the pumpkin picking farm today. It truly was one of our favorite outings. This was our first time participating in such an activity, and it was so good.

The farm is conveniently located just a fifteen-minute drive from Sale, making it easily accessible.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with ample parking and friendly staff who assisted us in finding a convenient spot, despite the chilly outdoor conditions.

The tractor ride to the farm was a delightful addition, allowing us to enjoy the scenic views of horses, goats, hens, and cows along the way.

The farm itself is beautifully decorated, featuring numerous photo opportunities, picnic benches, and a food area offering a variety of items such as hot dogs, bacon rolls, and even a drinks cart. I particularly enjoyed a delicious pumpkin spiced latte topped with whipped cream and pumpkin sweet—it was a highlight for me.

There was an impressive selection of pumpkins, showcasing various colors, shapes, and sizes that I had not anticipated. My friend initially thought we might overspend, but to our surprise, all the pumpkins we selected totaled under £20, which was remarkable.

We also enjoyed food and explored a maize maze, collecting clues to solve a puzzle along the way.

As we wrapped up our visit, the staff kindly transported our pumpkins back to the car park via tractor.

Overall, we had an excellent time, and I look forward to returning next year!

Great day with the little one.

Only negative is the long wait for the tractor going to the picking and getting back to the car. Also, after picking your pumpkin there should be somewhere to wash your hands.

Potentially more food stalls? Veg options

Lovely Time at Brookheys Farm Pumpkin Patch, Though Some Room for Improvement

We’ve just visited the Brookheys Farm pumpkin patch for the second time, having first gone in 2022, and it’s still a fun experience for the family. We loved the tractor ride to the patch and the maize labyrinth, which adds a playful element for the kids.

While the pumpkins were smaller and there seemed to be fewer compared to our previous visit, it was still enjoyable to pick our own. The admission fee of £4 per adult and £3 per child is reasonable, but I think it would be great if they added a few more activities or touches to make it feel like a fuller experience, especially considering how magical it felt the first time.

All in all, it’s a nice way to spend a day with family, and with a bit more variety, it could become a truly standout event each year!

Great way to spend some time on an autumn day. Friendly helpful staff, plenty of pumpkins to pick from even just a few days before Halloween. Tractor led trailer ride was a great touch and the way you collect your pumpkins at the end was seamless.

We had a lovely day out at the Brookhey Farm pumpkin patch. We've never been to one before so wasn't sure what to expect but it was well organised and had enough to keep you amused for a couple of hours.
We loved the tractor ride to get to you the patch, and the maize maze. There were lots of pumpkins to choose from and they were reasonably priced - we bought two (one large and a medium) for £8. They also sold smaller munchkin pumpkins that would be perfect for table decorations.

Quite a few visitors hadn't dressed for the muddy fields though, so it's a good idea to bring wellies or walking boots to save your footwear!

We come here every year it just gets better and better each time, the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch is a great start for the kids and the staff are all amazing friendly and helpful. The food is really good and reasonably priced as are the pumpkins! We always come away with more than we mean to they have so many varieties. It's never overly busy as the time slots are set out evenly and not booked over capacity. It is really well run and has the added bonus of all the farm animals. Can't wait to come again next year We had a blast would highly recommend.

I had the best time! First time at the farm and I’ll 109% come back! Even though we’re 25 I loved the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch - it was seriously fun and felt so nostalgic!

Great experience. Much better than previous years. The moving of the car park to the bottom of the farm and the addition of the tractor ride up the track to the farm were massive improvements (took stress out for drivers down the narrow track and made it more exciting for the kids). All very well organised to get pumpkins back down the track for you too so you don’t have to carry/get dirty. A big thumbs up.
