Our entire experience working with Rebecca and her team was great - she really listening to our needs and feedback, and engaged with us throughout the process right up to the final planting.

We weren't really sure how we wanted to best use the space but Rebecca had a range of great ideas and made sure we were happy at every stage of the project.

We absolutely love the garden and can't wait to spend more time out there (when the sun comes out...!)

Rebecca was recommended to us by another garden design company and we were delighted with the quality of her work. She provided us with a detailed planting plan having viewed our garden and then oversaw the actual planting. A month or two on and the garden continues to mature into her design and we are very happy with the outcome.

My garden has been transformed and a lot of it is thanks to Rebecca! She worked with me last year to rip out old decking and artificial grass and create a whole new outdoor living area surrounded by beautiful trees, plants, flowers and grasses. Every day there is something new and it is now a truly joyful place to be. I know nothing about plants or garden design so Rebecca’s help and advice was essential.

We used Rebecca for the initial design, as we already had a builder and were doing some of the work ourselves. Rebecca was very good at communicating and met all our expectations in terms of quality, knowledge and turnaround time. While I had some v clear ideas about what I wanted, Rebecca had the experience and could advise what would work and what wouldn’t, and advise on realistic pricing, leading to a much better result than trying to “wing” a garden design. This meant we had a fully designed and usable space, and prevented any rethinks half-way through the build. We loved the passion Rebecca brought to the design, including her extensive knowledge of planting schemes, and we enjoyed working with her. We would use her services again.

Having used Rebecca before for help with sourcing plants for my garden in 2020, I then returned to ask for her advice when thinking about redesign in 2022 as I was struggling to see how best to make use of my small garden space. The initial consultation period to explore what is needed / wanted is really thorough and collaborative. Rebecca has lots of great ideas and insight to help work with both space and budget constraints. She is also very patient and helpful when considering materials, colour schemes and planting to ensure everything is manageable once the professionals have gone! The whole process from consultation, to design, to implementation is managed exceptionally by Rebecca and she works with selected contractors on the projects that share her same sense of delivering great customer service. I am thrilled with the end result. I now have a garden that is a joy to use and look at all year round.

I had the displeasure of working with Rebecca (Brighton up your garden) last year. After a lengthy court battle, I have sadly been left out of pocket and with a woeful garden design. (If you can even call it that) Please don’t make the same mistake I did and choose your designer wisely…..

* very little was offered in way of design ideas, unless of course, you want decking- then you might be ok.
*If you want a country style garden, you also might be ok. If you want anything remotely modern then be careful as if this isn’t agreed with, you have no hope. (Even though it’s your garden)
*If you want a large entertaining patio area, go elsewhere. These aren’t on the list of approved ideas and you’ll be accused of wanting to pave over 85% of your garden so it looks like a “carpark”.
*Don’t expect to be able to have any of your own ideas for your garden design- they will be shot down, unless of course they fit Rebeccas plan for your garden, then you’ll be ok.
*If you don’t want to actually be part of the design and aren’t fussed with the end result then you might be ok. If you stand up for yourself and say no actually I don’t want this, just be prepared for the eye rolling, sighs and looks of disapproval. There will be many.
*Be wary of Rebecca’s “recommended” landscapers. We ended up with a complete bodge job that had to be ripped up and redone. I wouldn’t have recommended the company to anyone. Complete cowboys. Do your research and make sure you’re 100% sure of your chosen landscaper.
*Be prepared to be rushed from stage to stage with little discussion or time to ponder design ideas. It’s a race to get to the end product. You have to be decisive.
*If you’re wanting something that wows, you’re better off saving your money and looking on Instagram. I was left with nothing wow.
*If you have a budget in mind, expect this to be totally ignored. And when you have to dial back to fit within the given budget, expect to be asked to wait until you can afford to do the garden you want. Or find some more money somewhere. (Bonus/pay rise/money tree)

Seriously, I could go on and on. Do your research. There are designers out there considerably cheaper who, in my opinion would have given us the end result we were hoping for. (I actually think a child could design what we ended up with)
Ones that will listen to you, ones that can relate to your vision, ones that may not agree with what you want but roll with it and make it into something wonderful.

My garden has now been completed.(second time lucky) and looks amazing but there is absolutely no design to it. We ended up just having an extension of what we already have and are now having to try and put some design ideas in ourself.

Sometimes a job may be “done” in the eyes of the law but whether it’s done well is a totally different story.

Rebecca did a great job on our much neglected garden. She was very professional, keeping us informed every day. I have no hesitation in recommending her services to anyone.

I used BUYG services to help me dismantling a concrete base in my garden and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service provided. Not only it was done on time, it looks professional and Rebecca was very pleasant to deal with. She seemed to know her stuff and also gave me a lot of invaluable advice on gardening. Truly a company with a difference, highly recommend!
