On a whim we decided to visit Breezy Knees last week. Went here in 2005 when it was just a small public nursery selling perennials.
Oh my goodness, what a surprise. It has been transformed into the most beautiful garden.
There is a detailed map showing all of the 15 gardens which, if you follow their map, you will see everything. Shrubs in their hundreds, stunning crafted hedges and, not forgetting the little hidden animals. At the end of the walk you will find a very nice cafe. I almost forgot the beautiful water feature in the middle. It is a jewel. One not to be missed. We spent a relaxing 4 hours just wandering and marvelling at the amount of work and planning to create this haven.

Just feeling that BKG is a bit on the expensive side, especially for a family, both for the gardens and in the cafe. Gardens not at their best just now, no doubt due to the awful weather we’ve had recently. Had a lovely walk round but overall left feeling disappointed. ETA - well I think we can agree that other gardens are also overpriced, that doesn’t make any of them particularly good value for money, just IMHO.

Apologies for the original review - as came up on Google maps I thought I was reviewing the route they had given. “Does not take you to the Breezy Knees turning, it takes you past amd down roads which lead to another village and no way to get to Breezy Knees other than to retrace steps.” The gardens are lovely and I often recommend them to friends. The gardens get 5 stars from me.

A wonderful sunny day spent at the gardens today! It was lovely and serene! Plenty of gardens to meander in! We can appreciate the effort put in by the gardeners to keep the gardens looking good! Some of the flowers in bloom were absolutely beautiful, especially the dahlias. They were stunning!!

Visited on Saturday the 19th of June 2021. Travelled a couple of hours to get there but it was well worth it! After seeing breezy knees on Gardeners World we thought we had to plan a trip this summer and we are so happy we did! The gardens are perfectly maintained and in tip top condition. All the pathways are immaculate and the borders and displays are breathtaking. It seems there's is a section of the garden for each month of the year and the June garden was in full spectacular bloom! The staff were great and we were supplied with a map on arrival which was extremely helpful as it made navigating the grounds simple and stopped us missing anything out! At 8 pounds each entrance fee we felt it was definitely value for money as we spent from 1pm to 4pm walking around and had a lovely coffee from the Breezy teas cafe! Would give 6 stars if I could! Ps brilliant to have a nursery on site supplying plants seen around the garden, nice touch!

A good sized, lovely Family run Gardens. We walked for 2 hours and there was still much more explore. It is quieter than some more mainstream venues - we booked the night before during a weekend! There's no playground, but plenty of exploration to keep my 5 and 3 year old kids entertained. Cafe is good too. The only thing I would wish is it was opened a few more weeks into October as I'm sure the colours would be stunning! We would definitely recommend🙂

Even though our visit was so late in the year, this wonderful garden did not fail to impress us.

A very large site with do many different themed gardens, relaxing and enthralling, beautifully designed.

My mother used her new wheelie walking frame and managed to continue for about two hours. Years since she has walked so far. It would have been impossible for her with just her walking stick. She is a very seasoned gardener and said it had been the best trip out for a very long time!

We will definitely return next year to enjoy spring, summer and early autumn. Already looking forward to it...

Thank you to everyone involved from those who made our lunch to those who must work so hard in maintaining the gardens. We were speculating what the next projects might be... Possibly a maze, a woodland walk... Whatever THANK YOOOOOU ALL.

Really lovely place to amble round. Was a little bit early to visit in the season, a lot of things were yet to bloom. I imagine it's fantastic in the summer or when we've had a better spring, weather wise! Facilities are great, lots of benches round the gardens and nice photo spots. Cafe offered the basics, but done well, including gluten free and dairy free options (even vegan Magnums in the ice cream freezer!). Nice nursery for a bit of plant shopping to top off the visit too. Perfect for a half day somewhere nice and quiet.
