Good selection of meat but will never go again as we have seen the butcher blow his nose or scratch his nose put the hankie in his pocket and then serve customers meat with bare hands without washing them first.
We have observed this several times . So a big NO as no food hygiene is observed.
Never seen him wearing gloves to weigh out raw stewing steak etc.

Great location, great food and drink and a nice play area with Cow Shed Cafe attached. Latte & Cherry scone were really nice, sat inside & watched the calves eating/playing then sat in the sunshine watching the georgous horses & goats, nice little play area for my friends daughter & then off to the farm shop for some goodies.Would definitely visit again.?

Lovely rack of beef which was a definite hit for Sunday lunch. The tin of beans is just there to show the size of the rib. Not to be served with it. ?

I went to the Cow Shed cafe at Border View Farm for the first time on Monday. Great little place, with a perspex window through to the cows. This is a novel idea and the kids seemed to really love it. If you're ok with the slightly rustic surroundings and happy without all the frills, this place is fab. Awesome cuppa, fairly good bacon sani (no butter on the bread though - or is that just me?). We had two small bacon sandwiches and two teas for £9. Overall I would definitely go back.

Very slow service. Waited 50 minutes for a breakfast. Couple waited nearly as long for toasted teacakes. Food was mostly good. Very burnt sausages.

We go quite often after hospital visits and enjoy a full breakfast or ham salad with jkt potato....my favourite. The shop sells fine quality products, and there's always something to see happening on the farm

This was our first visit and we had a lovely time! The food in the cafe was yummy, the portions were generous and the service was wonderful. Our little one loved that they had toys in the cafe to keep her entertained and a great little play area outside. She can't wait to come back for the Tots & Pots Stay and Play Group, and neither can we! Would definitely recommend!
