Met them at the Royal Cornwall Show, made a purchase and somehow managed to leave the jams at the stand and were over halfway home before we realised.

Some jams are more equal than others. Boddington’s Raspberry Conserve might just be the best jam I’ve ever had.

We were staying at a beautiful house in Mevagissey and the owners kindly left some goodies - this jam amongst them. It blew me away at the time so we made sure to get some before heading back to London. In case you are wondering if it is one of those things that is perfect in situ while you are on holiday (ie having it with breakfast by the sea in Cornwall) but just not so good when you are back home, I can confirm that most definitely is not the case; I just had some on my toast on a dull November morning and it is every bit as delicious.

Ingredients: raspberries, sugar. The first hint at a quality product. Then the texture - gorgeous, thick but without a trace of gelatinous gloopiness. And finally the taste - a zingy burst of the raspberries balanced perfectly with the deep sweetness the ruby colour promises.

I make homemade Jaffa Cakes and the chocolate orange marmalade makes them extra special.
I love and buy all the products such a shame that the shop is not open for visitors only found out when we called round last month.

I used to like a Jam brand made in Essex, We received free samples of Boddington Berries Jam and Chutneys, Well... this is PROPER JOB Jam, I forgot, the name of that Jam made is exxess... and, spellings as well
