Liked: If Black Barn Farm could have done something about the weather, my stay would have been perfect. All facilities A1 with a generous pitch, great showers and excellent communications all at a very reasonable cost.

Disliked: nothing to dislike.

Liked: Friendly welcome, spacious pitches, lovely views excellent cafe on site serving delicious breakfasts! Close to Norwich, railway station and bus stops
Toilets always clean, didn’t use the showers but there were two.

Disliked: The grass was quite long and the ground muddy but it was end of October. I felt the price (£34 pn) was a little higher compared to others we have stayed at.

I stopped by for a quick lunch and ordered a sausage and egg sandwich. Though it was a decent size, the £6.99 price felt a bit steep. That said, the sausages were fantastic! We even went downstairs to the butcher’s afterward to pick up a bag for breakfast at home the next morning. Would come again mostly for the ambiance.

Liked: The pitches are well laid out, space, water and electric points on each one. The shower and toilet block are clean, hot showers and well maintained. The area.is lovely, love the lighted woodland. The new art, craft and cafe barn is just in the design stage look forward to returning on completion. First time to the area, that was the idea. Would come back. The dogs enjoyed the area. If I could give one improvement or wish list,.that no campsites ever has it have would be an enclosed dog run. However did find one locally which was amazing. Thanks for a chillout rest.

Liked: Site was very laid back. Arrived on site and was instantly greeted by a member of staff who told us where everything was and what to do - didn't even have to
get out of the car. You could choose your own pitch from any that were available. All the pitches are lovely and level and well maintained. Some pitches have water and electric on the pitch. The farm shop and cafe were lovely. The breakfasts served in the cafe were excellent. The food was freshly prepared and lovely and hot. All members of staff were very friendly. The toilets and showers were very clean. Didn't use the showers as we have our own but they looked very good. The site was very peaceful. Good base to travel to Norwich and Wroxham and beyond. Public transport was very reliable and Park & Ride into Norwich a couple of miles away.

Disliked: It would be useful is if there was a small area giving information on what is available in the locality. Difficult to walk to local pubs as the roads did not have footpaths and were quite busy. No public footpaths near to the site.

A reasonable wait to be seated although tables were free but not cleared due to what appeared low staffing issues. We then waited almost 40 minutes for a coffee and a canned drink. In this period it felt as if we were sat in a factory canteen , no sound insulation and cobwebs everywhere. I then lent on the metal frame adjoining our table to find my sleeve covered in sticky residue. The Christmas decorations appeared to have been thrown onto the roof of the toilet and hot food servery prep area along with many combustibles including cardboard boxes. I could understand the wait times if appropriate staffing levels were in place but the poor housekeeping and lack of basic cleanliness will find us not returning. The car park is also a mud bath presently with potholes appearing in the tarmacked entrance.

We went to the Black Barn for a breakfast on a Sunday morning. And I’d certainly go there again.
It’s clean and tidy, and decor is modern, albeit sparse. (Is is a Barn conversion after-all).
The food was delicious and plentiful.
If you want good food, nice people, and not searching for ambience, this is definitely worth a look!

Visited the cafe and Christmas market. Got there early for breakfast before the market opened, lots of others had the same idea. Great meal, lots to choose from. I had pancakes, bacon and maple syrup and my friend had hers with Nutella and bananas. Full English looked great almost had food envy.
A new place to take the grand hair breakfast when they next visit. Will definitely go again.
