Loved our stay here. It's set in gorgeous rural countryside but is only a short drive to many of the attractions. Still, it was great to be out in the countryside where there was little phone signal and no noise. It's very very calm and peaceful. The facilities provided were great and included toilets, showers, laundry facilities and a fridge. Will definitely be returning

Good cheap quiet dog friendly farm campsite away from the crowds. Basic facilities, WC shower, freezer, sink washer and dryer etc all clean and well maintained. Owners were friendly and helpful.
Great spot for exploring the fells and southern lakes.

This is a fantastic site. The location is brilliant, so far out in the sticks with great views all around and access to a network of public footpaths.

The host and their facilities are great; the shower block was kept nice and clean and not once did I have to queue to use it.

You will probably have to drive if you are wanting to pick up supplies as the nearest shops are about 25 minutes drive away.

Located in a good position if you want to go to Coniston or Grizedale. Would highly recommend.

Lovely campsite. Off the beaten track, but well worth it.
Clean facilities, showers, toilets, and dishwashing facilities are all neat and well looked after.
Loads of space for tents and caravans.
A good mix of traditional camping spots and wilder camping spots.
There was a lovely mix of families, young adults, and older adults all camping together comfortably.
There is no noise after 10 pm, which is just perfect for me.
It was so lovely to be surrounded by the sheep and horses of the farm. Don't worry, the campsite itself is gated, with no loose animals around the tents.
Well priced, and well loved.
Would highly recommend, and will return on future visits to the Lakes

Lovely campsite. We stayed as part of our 3 Peaks camping week when headed to do Scaffell Pike. It's about an hour's drive from Scaffell and the drive is very rural to get to the mountain so not the quickest place to stay, but it was a lovely experience staying on a working farm. Toilets were clean and showers had warm water. Onsite scullery and laundry room (added charge to do laundry). Camped next to a babbling brook, which was lovely. Our friends had an electric hookup for their camper van and we pitched directly across the brook from them. Peaceful and quiet with low noise after 10pm. Coal fires were allowed up to 10:30 pm. Also dog friendly (for a small added charge) with dogs to be kept on leads.

Beautiful peaceful campsite. Facilities are kept clean but are basic (as you'd expect from a farm campsite).
Toilets, showers, waste disposal, washing up sink and fridge freezer for campers to use.
Curfew of noise which is very welcome so great for a quiet night in the countryside.
Would highly recommend this campsite.
