Usually excellent product but the batch of 6 x 500gr different flavoured bags we bought January 2024 were very sinewy at least 80grs per bag was inedible and the prices are really expensive I understand that costs have all gone up but expect the same good quality meat as before if we paying that sort of price.

First time Iv been to the shop. Went for my SA grind to pick up some spice mix. Brought and tried there Droewors my friend was raving on about, I tried all 3 flavors and they were fantastic. But I the original was my favorite. The lady that served me was pleasant and helpful, can’t wait to go bk in summer time to get some beorewors for the bbq

Good old South African Hospitality shown by all staff. Biltong, Steak Boerawors is all fantastic can not fault it. Highly Recommend this place to All Ex South African if you want a taste of home.

FINALLY got round to visiting these guys today. I visited the Chelmsford shop and I was chatting to a proper legend of a lady. Really helpful. They also sell African Fanta (If you don't know about African Fanta then sort it out! Its soooo much better than British Fanta!!)

Would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again when I'm working in that neck of the woods. I've known about Biltong Direct for a while but never had a chance to check them out properly.

All your South African treats to be found here! You can request wet/dry/fatty/lean biltong or droëwors - just the way you like it. At least 4 different boerewors flavours to choose from and all you need for an SA braai- sosaties, chicken flatties, kameeldoring wood, charcoal. Spices , sauces, jelly.. What-have-you.. It is all there!

Visited the canvey island branch. Little bit difficult to find, but got there. Not big at all, but as the saying goes...dynamite comes in small packages! I did not buy biltong (I make my own), but did get some traditional boerewors, garlic boerewors and thin boerewors and other goodies. I have tasted their biltong at a friends house and I could not fault it. After 15 years in England, this is by far the best boerewors I have come across. Tasty...very tasty and properly prepared.
Very chuffed to see they also have a branch in Chelmsford. Not too far from us. The staff members at Canvey were very friendly. A must visit!!!

Boerewors, Droewors and Biltong mostly tastes great, however not the best looking shop with no as much to choose from. Staff most of the time not really friendly and complains a lot. Operating hours weird!! But no competition in the area....
