We didn't have the same experience of others. It was about a 35 min shuttle ride from the base to the sleigh ride. We got on the sleigh around 645, so it was pitch black and the sleigh's bench seats were pretty uncomfortable, so the ride itself wasn't great. We finally got to the barn and the seats were almost all benches, which again wasn't comfortable, especially for the older members of our group. The dinner was very disappointing - I thought since it was a ranch we would at least get good steak but the meat was overcooked and super chewy - it seemed like they got the steaks from Safeway. The rest of the food wasn't great - it just seemed like they opened canned corn and beans and didn't actually cook anything, which we didn't expect because the experience was quite expensive. I will say the people running it were lovely but that didn't make up for the rest of it. If you have younger kids I recommend looking for a different option.

Loved this evening. My wife and I were in town for a long weekend. This was recommended to us by a friend who had a place in town. It was well worth it. The sleigh ride was nice and cozy. The ranch was super cool. Live music played the whole time. The staff was fantastic. The food was quite good. We both had the steak and enjoyed it. We brought our own wine. Overall, it was a super good experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

What an incredible experience we had. The sleigh ride was beautiful even as snow gently fell. Then the meal was held in an upstairs area packed with beautiful mementos of this family’s heritage. The family is so inviting and personable. Their history dating back to the 1800’s. The food was amazing and the live music just right for a relaxing ambiance. Highly recommend for a fun experience.

My family enjoyed the whole experience! We did the sleigh ride and the views were wonderful! The horses were beautiful! And the food was phenomenal! And we really enjoyed the live music with the dinner!

I booked this trip for my in-laws and my family as a treat. We were picked up on time at the Gondola which was very convenient and took about a 20 minute ride to the location. When we arrived, a sleigh was there with 2 beautiful horses. I was a little disappointed because we were packed into a sleigh with around 25 people. Not as quaint as I wanted but disappointed that our view was behind houses and barns. We arrived to a barn. Really neat, but bathrooms were on the lower level and the dinner was upstairs. If you are handicap or you have difficulty climbing stairs, this is not the right place. The dinner was ok. Steaks were good, but the chicken was not desirable at all. The atmosphere with the service was wonderful. Enjoyed the live music. After we finished, we were loaded back on a bus.
Now my last experience doing a sleigh ride was about 17 years ago on our honeymoon, and it was absolutely the most beautiful ride we ever did. We rode to the place via sleigh (in the dark), ate an awesome dinner on a low table and pillows spread around an enormous teepee, and then climbed back on the sleigh again under warm heavy blankets. It was romantic and beautiful so expectations were high. That place is no longer in business. I truly wish this place was in business because it was beautiful, romantic, and wonderfully done. BarLazy was very family oriented. The staff was great, but wish the experience was better with the sleigh ride and dinner.

Incredible hospitality! The Bar Lazy folks were friendly, warm, and fun! A wonderful sleigh ride pulled by 2 magnificent, and very large horses along the Elk river to a festive and warm barn for an delicious meal. Thanks for a wonderful experience Bar Lazy L Ranch!
