Just enjoyed a fabulous Ayrshire breakfast for a Valentine's treat with hubby. We hadn't booked prior to arriving, but the staff accommodated us at a table that wasn't reserved till a couple of hours later. Friendly staff and great food.

Unfortunately I asked for a gluten free meal and it was absolutely not what I received. I have coeliac disease and eating out is difficult enough without requesting a meal and being basically poisoned. I had the eggs Benedict and I’m pretty sure now that the eggs were cooked with malt or distilled vinegar and I doubt the sauce was gluten free. This is a serious health condition and if you are unable to cater to gluten free/coeliac do not advertise that you can. I’m ill after my visit.

Four of us stopped for a visit and had a lovely breakfast.
The full Scottish fry up was excellent.
I returned later with my wife and her mother for lunch and a coffee and cake.
The food is gorgeous, especially the cakes and scones. The breakfast was a couple of pounds dearer than Morrisons but certainly worth it, it's all local produce, and it supports a local community owned project.
The service was quick and the staff are lovely.

Ayrshire Food Hub is taking root deep within the agricultural heartland of the west of Scotland. Located just outside Hurlford, the Hub is home to our café , a development kitchen, meeting room, a growing garden, and our Ayrshire farm shop, which will also distribute fresh local produce online.

Celebrating local producers, Ayrshire Food Hub supports local talent and shares fresh, vibrant food from Ayrshire whilst cutting food miles. Ayrshire food from Ayrshire folk.

With our parent charity, Crossroads Community Hub, at the heart of the project, there will be new opportunities for everyone. Exercise, health, leisure, and learning activities all with local as the central focus. Plus, cooking classes for all ages, rural craft and gardening groups, fitness groups and kids’ classes. We want to create a dynamic hub of activity where community support and cultural activities can flourish.

Popped in today for breakfast and was so looking forward to it......what a disappointment. It was reasonably quiet and service was good but have to say that was the only good points. Food was awful. I had Eggs Balmoral and it was barely edible. Had to send it back as the poached eggs were solid. Hollandaise sauce tasted of nothing but vinegar haggis wasn't cooked bacon was tasteless and "toasted" muffin was a soggy mess ......never been near a toaster. Unfortunately been twice now and wont be back as both times it failed to deliver anything remotely edible.

A visit with my sisters, been a few times before. They were having a trial, book and pay for your meal at the till, as we are a little bit elderly prefer the waitress coming to the table for our order, enjoyed our meal, tasty as usual.
