Austen's of Rochester is a fantastic local independent food business located right on Rochester High Street. They have an amazing selection of organic products and locally produced goods. I picked up their organic apple cider vinegar and some fresh apple juice, and both were excellent. They also have a great range of jams, and their chilli jam is a personal favourite!

One of the standout services they offer is a weekly vegetable and fruit box in various sizes, which is a great way to get fresh, local produce.

The staff here are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about their products.I highly recommend Austen's to anyone looking for quality, organic, and local goods!

Had the veg box for 2/3 years. Lovely produce but cancelled due to them being unable to follow requests correctly. Will just grab the odd thing from the shop now due to mess up with the boxes and no apology from them either.

I have only received my first weekly veg box with them and I am so happy I ordered from here! For the price, to get fresh veg with little to no packaging is amazing! Would definitely recommend buying from them if you go to Rochester or would like to order from them 🙂

Fantastic quality produce, locally sourced where possible. We have enjoyed receiving Austen’s weekly fruit and veg box for the last year and cannot recommend them more highly. The Christmas range is also excellent. Lovely shop on the high street and friendly, helpful staff.

Great selection of fruit and veg, jams, apple juice, eggs, bread and lots of other bits, most of it seems to come from Kent which is great! Love the fact that they provide paper bags instead of plastic for fruit and veg. Staff very friendly and helpful and prices reasonable, will definitely be returning!
