We had a great time with Tony and Ailia learning about the bees. They were very friendly and welcoming and were very patient answering our questions.
The bee experience is fantastic. We went into the hives wearing the bee suit (that is very cool!), handled the frames covered in bees, found the queen, manipulated the smoker and all in a very relaxed atmosphere with lots of laughter.
Before saying goodbye we tasted honey and sweets made by the Ashworths. Everything was delicious!
I definitely recommend the experience if you want a first approach to the bee world.

A wonderful morning with the bees, Tony was so knowledgeable and answered so many questions, it was great to see the hives up close and handle the frames, and see the spectacular way honey is made, finished off with a lovely range of delicious foodstuffs. We had an amazing afternoon with Tony. It was fascinating and we learned so much, bees are incredible! The experience was not hurried, Tony is so knowledgable, keen to share and interesting to listen too. The different honeys and sweet treats we got to taste were all delicious too.

Spent a great few hours with Tony and Ailia learning about the bees! They were very friendly and welcoming and have a whole wealth of knowledge about the bees. It was great to be able to be able to go into the hives, hold the frames (covered in bees!) and locate the queen. Tony was very patient with answering all of our questions (we had so many) and they also happily rearranged our visit with no issue when I caught covid just before our initial booking with them. It was great to taste the honey flapjacks, cake and biscuits that they make and see the products they produce. If you want to learn about bees then definitely visit Ashworth Honey!

I was gifted a bee keeping experience for my Birthday, I was able to add my Mum onto the experience. We had a great time and found the experience so interesting.

I shared this experience with my daughter as a birthday treat. We thought the experience was extremely rewarding finding out how these bees work to produce offspring and of course not just honey but wax and a glue substance. Tony and his family were very knowlegdable and we learnt just how much these bees have to do in such a short life span. Thank you for the insight into bees and the precautions and time you spend tending them. The afternoon tea and tasting was a nice way to finish the day. Thank you bees and thank you Tony and family for an inspiring afternoon.

I spent a fantastic morning at Ashworth Honey. Tony is a wonderful teacher and has soo much knowledge and enthusiasm I came away wanting to become a Bee Keeper. I learnt so much, enjoyed the delicious treats at the end made from the honey they produce. Love my souvenirs of the morning. I would highly recommend.
