My favorite Nursery for sometime, everything you could possibly want, the gardening book section is immense,and also you can see plants growing in their production area.
It's a gem of a Nursery,visit it soon you won't be disappointed.❤️❤️Love it.

We went on a Saturday to specifically visit John's Garden. This is a wonderful garden to walk around. You could spend a whole day here and glean a lot from the gardeners tending the beds. My sister tells me it is totally different in the other seasons.
The Garden Centre is beautifully set out with stunning plants and ornaments. The restaurant, although busy, is well worth visiting.

Really enjoyed this garden centre and will definitely return.
Loads of variety, good signage and liked how the varietys of plants are grouped together.

Good healthy plants, dog friendly and good prices.

Next visit will go on the weekend so can have a look around the gardens also .

My favourite nursery, been here for the last 25 years or there abouts.
Great selection of good quality plants and they specialise in hellebore, hepatica and conifers.
Lovely restaurant but always busy. Their main meals are very tasty and reasonably priced.
The gift shop is excellent with a good selection of Moorcroft lamps etc and jigsaws!
John Massey's garden ( the owner)is open on selected dates and is well worth a visit.
Always nice and tidy. Exceptional .

A superb nursery as opposed to a national chain 'garden centre'. Plants take precedent here and this is made obvious by the care and attention given to presentation. The quality of the plants is second to none, as is the knowledge and expertise of the staff. A good range of garden sundries - composts, pots, containers and gardening books are on sale, as well as an excellent selection of decorative pottery and gifts. There is a smashing tea room too, which is always busy, a good sign in itself.

After our visit yesterday we will definitely NOT go again. We have been eating here for many years but this has now come to an end due to the rudeness of 3 members of tearoom staff ! Firstly we were spoken to extremely rudely by the person at the counter when we ordered food. As if that wasn't enough 2 other staff members commented that
'I wish they'd hurry up and go' !!! Not a remark to make you feel welcome. We had coffee on arrival followed by lunch and a cold drink. We were not sitting chatting for a time without consuming food/beverage so I don't see that we were holding anyone up. There had been people waiting for tables whilst we were there but not at the point of the remark being made.
If the staff can't accept that we chose to spend our money in their work environment then we can and will go elsewhere in future.

How have I not found this place before. Fab Garden Centre with a really beautiful garden layout. The owner and staff truly care that we have the best information about every plant tree and shrub. The choice is wonderful. It has a different feel to the big chain garden centres. There's also a garden that's open on Saturdays so we'll be back. Sat in the shade with coffee and cake, like you do.
