Visited the restaurant with 2 young children one of them being just turning 1 years old, she was not able to have anything for lunch as the restaurant doesn’t allow for ‘baby food’ to brought into the restaurant. We would have been expected to buy something off of the normal kids menu but nothing would have been suitable for a baby who is being weaned. We obviously left after being confronted by many members of staff who all had a rude approach. Definitely not child friendly!

Breakfast was nice but overpriced. You are charged a supplement fee if you make small changes such as asking for different type of bread from the item on the menu but you are not informed that there will be a charge until you come to pay.

Staff in the restaurant are borderline polite but customer service was pretty much non existent. Not welcoming on arrival. Handed two menus and pointed in the direction of the table. No concern whether everything was OK or if we needed anything. Stood waiting on the way out waiting to pay while staff continued their conversation. Enjoyed the meal but wouldn't return again unfortunately.

Fantastic place for all ages. Lots to do indoors and out for the kids. Play area's, indoor soft play, small water park, good selection of animals to walk around. Has a farm shop where you can buy food and drink and is all natural products!! Has restaurant on site at a reasonable price, could be worth booking a table at busy times. Great day out!!!

4 of us came for breakfast, it was very good.
Plenty of choice on the menu. Our food was nicely presented, well cooked and hot. The restaurant and tables were very clean. All the staff were friendly and polite. Toilet was clean.
Plenty of free parking. Worth a visit

Went for breakfast at the farm, prior to doing our shop. The social distancing measures in place were followed, but more importantly the breakfast was delicious. After the breakfast we bought, lamb, burgers , liver and sausages from the butcher, and the quality was superb .
The farm shop has been open throughout this pandemic, but it was great to see the restaurant, wine shop and farm open again. Keep up the great standards and service. Thanks

Rude, judgemental staff who made us feel very unwelcome. very bad attitude, laughing in our faces. Booked parking at the back of the farm. maybe there’s some bad feeling but the unprofessional way that the staff presented themselves was disgusting. The staff need to learn some customer service manners. Even if the airport parking is nothing to do with this business, I would never return or recommend this business. Horrible individuals.

Great little farm shop and cafe just down the road from North Weald village.
The cafe restaurant is nestled at the back of the farm shop overlooking gardens, with indoor seating upstairs and downstairs in the glazed barn or outside in the garden when the weather permits. Ashlyns offer a wide selection of dishes for breakfast and lunch; we enjoyed items recommended by the helpful team from the specials board including the delicious Jerk chicken kebabs.
The team are welcoming and friendly and most of the items available in the cafe also there for purchase in the farm shop / butcher to take home along with a variety of local, and not so local, produce.
There is plenty of parking on site as in addition to the farm shop and cafe there is a well stocked garden centre, wine emporium, soft play centre and farm with alpaca, llama goats and other animals.

Restaurant was expensive for what it was, the vegan sausage roll was more than double the price compared to the same one in the farm shop. The few salad leaves didn’t warrant that cost. Had to wait a long time for service and the waitress was pretty miserable.
Saving Grace was the lovely chap in the butchers area. Very friendly and helpful.
Would have given 1 star after the service in the restaurant but the butcher pulled some good points back
