One of the very few authentic, high-quality, family-run cafes left in Blackheath. The Arts Cafe is an absolute gem in the area. The tortilla, toasties, pasta, pastries, and coffee are all excellent. We love visiting on a weekly basis. It's very family-friendly, with outdoor/indoor seating, games, books, and sandpits for kids. As well, they have a nice selection of wines and beers for an early aperitivo. Thanks, Fran and Anna, for bringing good food to the area and bringing the community together in your space.

A nice cafe within a very nice building. It is popular with mums and kids so it can get quite chaotic sometimes. It is a shame that they have very limited gluten free options. One Gluten-free banana cake was on offer. It was a shame that they only serve teas in take away cups even when you drink in the cafe

Authentic & friendly coffee shop in blackheath. The owners are always chatty and welcoming. The food is always high quality and tasty. My daughter loves the donuts and the owners always do their best to keep one aside - highlighting the family feel. Highly recommend visiting, a secret for the local residents tucked away behind the conservatoire.

Wonderful cafe in Blackheath ! Such a lovely environment to enjoy your coffee / lunch / pastries. No other cafe in the area, compares.
Great outside space for children too, with sandpits. Run by the warmest and most friendly family, I think I have ever met too. They can’t do enough for you ❤️
I have also attended a private party here, and it was fabulous ! Highly recommend !

Hidden jewel off Blackheath’s main strip. Feels bigger than it actually is— they’ve maximised on seating space without it feeling cluttered or busy. Quite a nice, bright atmosphere, even on a grey day, so likely even more appealing in high summer.

Fantastic independent family run café right alongside the Blackhead Conservatoire, with two sandpits and an outside seating area. We are there regularly with our toddler, who loves it. They have children's books and games to borrow and serve good food including very generous panini's and croissants etc, plus beer and wine after noon. Very friendly and feels like a home from home for us, worth noting the late opening hours making it a good option for a coffee on the way home from work.

The food is really delicious! The empanada is amazing and the Spanish tortilla is incredible, as well as the garlic bread. Everything has allergy labels and they have great vegan and gluten free options. The food is so tasty and the service is impeccable. Also great for children, as there are two big sand pits outside. Extremely recommended!
