It is impossible to visit this place without writing a review after. A huge selection of water plants, knowledgeable and helpful staff, very reasonable prices, and priceless advice. You never end up buying plants that are not suitable for your pond. Once you come here, you will never consider buying from anywhere else.

Please note that on entry you may doubt that you are at the right place: it has a very strange entrance but definitely worth it once you get there! So many informative, educated and extremely friendly members of staff with an excellent system: Once you arrive you can pick out what plants you like from a range of different cards with lots of information about them on them, the staff will then recommend swaps or give you tips, then go and pick out whatever you chose from the thousands of plants they have! Would recommend to anyone who is working on a garden pond: they'll have exactly what you want all year round.

After seeing a recommendation on Facebook a few weeks ago my son took me today and they couldn’t have been more helpful and informative. Only went for floating plants and bought a few more plants too Prices were fantastic compared to pond shops and much healthier too. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you for your help guys

I don’t often write reviews, but it would be unfair not to for this place. The knowledge of David is second to none and it was a genuine privilege to have spent an hour with him. It is lovely to meet someone who genuinely cares about your project. We came away feeling educated on every minor detail of every single corner of our pond and how we can help our fauna and flora.

This isn’t your typical garden centre. It doesn’t come with the glitz and glam. Somehow, it’s so so much more. There’s a full team there that care. I was so tired of ordering from plant and pond places online and having shabby looking “things” arrive that looked nothing like they do online. Here, you know what you’re getting. It’s a (very) fair price. In fact, compared to what you get at other retailers I’d argue they undersell themselves. I’d have been happy paying what I did yesterday even if I had come home empty handed (I had a boot full). David was wonderful in his knowledge and nature. He even made sure, with no judgement, that what I had previously put in my pond was ok (I got 9 out of 10 right and thankfully was yet to plant the tenth!).

I won’t consider purchasing from anywhere else. I’m a customer for life. Thankfully we are only 45 minutes away - I’ll be visiting again once it’s lily season - but I’d have driven hours if it were needed.

If you live in the North West and need pond plants forget the garden centres… this place is definitely worth a visit. Tucked away down an old lane behind a housing estate this is an Aladdin’s cave.
We found and spoke to David on a quiet Sunday morning who was so helpful (and extremely knowledgeable) with our requirements for a newly built small wildlife pond. The choice of plants will blow your mind and are very reasonably priced.
We plan to return in the summer months to check out the water lilies when in flower and Hosta’s as there are plenty to go at! Thank you again David.
