Had a fabulous evening at the Sourdough Course. Paul made us all feel relaxed. He is font of knowledge, so interesting. Brought lots of goodies home, a starter, a loaf, made a loaf to bake and a pizza.

Phil and I went to the pop up restaurant evening on 02/07. The food was amazing and locally sourced. Paul, Jess and Ed were brilliant and explained what was in the dish and why - the team knew their stuff!! Would definitely recommend going to one of these events, but be warned you need to be quick.

AMAZING!

Just home from the sourdough course with Paul, enjoying a slice of still warm sourdough whilst sorting out my starter and proving my dough - ready to bake in the morning!

From the welcome to the bye, it was worth every penny and such a great experience. Paul was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and supportive throughout. Broke down the process whilst sharing some technical knowledge and answering everyone’s questions.

Their shop is intimate and feels like you are in a ‘French bakery’ setting, it was just right as a group of 6. Apron Strings clearly are passionate about their craft and customers experience and not about maximising on ££.

Came home with a fresh loaf, 2 balls of dough (which we made) and a starter - in addition to this you can speak to them anytime after the course for advise or tips. You get a ‘starter for life’ should you mess up with maintaining yours and they will even look after your starter should you go away!

I have had one of Apron strings meals to take out, for the last three Wednesdays and every one of them has been delicious, full of flavour and so easy to heat up. Very reasonably priced too.
I have also had 3 meat and cheese platters recently for three birthdays. They make a great birthday present and my family members have started to look forward to receiving a platter for special occasions, they always go down so well.

Myself my wife and friends had an absolutely fantastic fun and informative morning learning how to make sourdough bread.
I would certainly recommend joining Paul and his wife Jess for a sourdough workshopp experience and we can't wait to try the Pasta workshop in the near future.

WOW! When it came to what was our wedding eve catering, Apron Strings stole the show. From the moment he was first contacted, Paul's enthusiasm and professionalism was contagious. Paul truly wowed us & even felt the passion as I do for vol-au-vents!

This man isn't just a caterer, he's an artist with a menu (& a butter board!!) He listened intently to our vision for a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere and crafted a menu that was both delicious and delightfully creative. Our guests were raving about everything & nothing was left over...

And let's not forget the little touches! Paul knew the Australian connection, and surprised us with the most adorable little Australian flag toothpicks adorning the good old party pie, a national staple of a good get together!

It was this kind of sweet, thoughtful detail that made the entire evening feel even more special and "whimsical" which suited the essence of the night and the location.

If you're looking for a caterer who goes above and beyond to make your menu unforgettable, look no further than Apron Strings. They'll have your taste buds singing & only wish we lived closer to enjoy his skills more.

Experienced a lovely evening of pasta making with the warm and friendly Paul at Apron Strings in Hedon. We were given a brief history of pasta, a run down of the best ingredients to use and he included so much information into the 1 hour course that I feel confident enough to fly solo at home. Maybe with practice I'll abandon the shop bought stuff altogether. There's just something magical about whipping up a batch of homemade pasta. The shop itself is rustic and relaxing and you can feel the effort and love that's gone into creating the perfect atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. 5 stars!
