ORDERING PROCESS & WEBSITE
Website was alright to use, easy to sign up to, good that you can edit some preferences and wish lists etc. Order history is very useful compared to some other sites.

ITEMS & PRICE
Items are okay, I was expecting some things to be past their best before date but 5 years seemed a bit extreme for some, considering the price. Many of the items could be bought elsewhere for a similar price and still be in date.

I was however looking forward to the 2021 £1.50 box, the Refreshers and Twirls made it worth the £1.50, but very disappointed in the quality and the sticky packets of crisps and the mass of tartar sauce sachets. Optimum drink had EXPIRED not even best before, a milk type drink posted without any refrigeration, curdled and lumpy.

POSTAGE & PACKING
£3 for up to 25kg is a very good price for shipping. Free if over £55 order.

I had a 3 boxes in one big box, weirdly the middle box had some sticky residue on it, which is odd as nothing in my box has leaked or on the outside. They all felt very thrown in the box. Also very confused as to why the 6 heavy glass bottles of non alcoholic rose was packing in the top of the box, it was crushing the boxes below.

Certainly not delivery with a smile, I opened the door and got greeted by a guy who said 'okay' and walked away.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
I haven't been in contact, I will take this as a lesson learnt, I've been wanting to order from here for years.
So I can't comment on their service.
But they really need to check their items. Best before is fine. Expired or past its use by, pretty sure legally, that's not okay as it isn't even deemed as safe.

I used Approved Foods on the recommendation of my son. Looking through their stock there was a few things I needed so started to fill the basket and was surprised every time I checked it that I still hadn't reached the minimum order cost. It's set at a reasonable level and I easily filled a box with goodies to get there. What I needed and a lot of treats. The money saved was incredible and the food was good quality. My only disappointment was the lead time on delivery and that it wasn't communicated well. It took almost 2 weeks from order date and I had to Google and ask around if this was usual as the only information I got was that I would receive an email on dispatch and it would typically be delivered within 5 days. Dispatch seemed to take forever and the email was from the courier. That said, it did arrive within the 5 days after that email. I didn't mind the time it took to arrive although in a world of next day delivery it did feel slow, what worried me was with no communication had my order been missed or waylaid etc. It would have been good to receive a status email a couple of days in. Despite this now I've done it once and know it will arrive, I will order again. Because it took longer than expected to arrive I had forgotten what I had ordered and it was like Christmas, an exciting moment opening the box.

I have not bought from them for a few years but gave them another try. The quality was good and so was the value as excellent as it always has been. A little slow to process/send order and responding to emails is a bit slower than it was when they first opened. The standard of the delivery however was very good and informed at all points after collection.

I order regularly from Approved Food to cope with the rising living costs. They offer very good value for your money. The order mostly get delivered within a week, and if there are any occasion mishaps with the order their customer service team gets it resolved in 1-2 working days. The only thing I don't like is that they use DX for delivery and the driver always refuses to bring the package to my doorstep, he always dumps in the communal areas of where I live! I hope they can work with other courier in the future to improve their service, but I am mostly happy with them and I will continue to order from them.

Brilliant company. I love their story and their mission. I always use them before I go shopping to get my fresh bits. It makes dinner different every week, has opened my family up to trying new food and the prices are so low. Absolutely recommend.

Excellent products, even the de-identified stuff. Delivery is spot on and specialist - there's no hide the parcel games.
Wish they had more catering packs, years ago I bought some instant muffin mix, just add water and bake and oh my...

Approved foods are really great at what they do and follow up customer enquiries very quickly. I’ve been shopping with them for years now and I wouldn’t stay with them if they didn’t take care from sale to delivery. I’ve had some fantastic Bargains . Bought two small bottles of Elemis face cream and they arrived in a massive box, which had another box inside, and a 3rd box inside that which contained the two bottles rattling around. Total waste of resources and must have cost a fortune to post. The two bottles also had AMAZON WAREHOUSE stickers plastered on them so had already been bought and returned to Amazon before seeing sold to Approved Food. Not impressed.
