Excellent spot, lovely beer, easily accessibly by train.

but my god, the queues.

Went on friday night - admittedly the first decent friday evening for months.

The queue for beer was about 45 mins. It's a brewery, with a limited [albeit excellent] selection. Pre-pour some maybe? A couple of extra taps? Something.

The queue for food for even longer; or rather the wait to receive the food. Excellent burgers from 1885 Burgers, but it got to the stage they had to close the order book to catch up.

A real, real shame, but after one pint (and a burger) we looked at the still existing queue, and decided to go home. It would be quicker to get back and open a can than try and get another. We weren't the only ones; we were next to one couple who arrived, heard - from others queuing - the length of the wait, and just turned around and left.

It's also put us off going to the night with the Mysteries; if they can't cope on a 'normal' night, how will they cope with added clientele.

As I say, a real shame. I love the beer, the setting, the food. Everything about it, apart from the waiting. Sort that out, and I'll be back. And yes, I realise they're doing plenty well without my custom; it needn't be either/or though

Beautiful location, lovely beer. Kind of don't want to tell folks how nice it is as I selfishly don't want it to get any busier. The best place to spend a lazy summer Friday evening.

Totally, TOTALLY mint place.
